Operating under the seller/doer model, this role serves as the primary point of contact for clients within their assigned region and industry sectors. The Preconstruction Manager will collaborate closely with estimating, operations, business development, and marketing teams to deliver client-focused proposals and achieve regional and corporate sales goals. \nThis position requires strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills to ensure that client needs are met through proactive engagement and seamless coordination throughout the project lifecycle. \n Essential Job Responsibilities \nServe as the lead client contact for assigned key accounts and project opportunities. \nDevelop and maintain long-term relationships with clients, general contractors, engineers, and industry partners. \nIdentify project opportunities through research, networking, and collaboration with business development and marketing teams. \nLead preconstruction efforts including scope alignment, risk identification, value engineering, and constructability input.\nOwn and manage the opportunity lifecycle from project identification through bid, award, and closeout using Salesforce CRM. \nResponsible for developing and implementing win strategies and Go-No-Go process to determine which projects and clients to target. \nLead the RFP/RFQ process and deliver to the client while meeting company standards and processes. \nCoordinate with estimating and operations teams to develop comprehensive proposals and ensure accurate project pricing. \nLead constructability and schedule reviews and develop staffing/labor forecast plans in coordination with the clients project schedule.\nGain a solid understanding of the services to be sold and represent that well to the client, bringing in subject matter experts when appropriate. \nLead preconstruction efforts including scope alignment, risk identification, value engineering, and constructability input. \nParticipate in pre-bid meetings, client presentations, and interviews to support pursuit strategies. \nWork with the Regional Sales Director to execute regional business plans and achieve annual sales targets. \nMonitor client satisfaction and provide feedback to internal teams for continuous improvement. \nMaintain accurate and timely records of opportunities, client interactions, and project outcomes in Salesforce. \nRepresent Loenbro at regional trade shows, association events, and client meetings to strengthen industry presence. \nUphold Loenbro’s safety culture and actively support company initiatives and values. \n Minimum Qualifications \nRequired: \n8+ years of experience in industrial or commercial construction through preconstruction, estimating, project management, or business development areas, including at least [5] years in municipal or industrial water/wastewater.\nProven ability to manage client relationships and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver successful outcomes. \nHands-on experience estimating or leading pursuits for water or wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, or lift stations.\nWorking knowledge of the electrical and controls scope on water projects: MCCs, medium-voltage gear, PLC/SCADA, duct bank, and standby power.\nExperience with public-sector procurement: prequalification, public bid, design-build, and CMAR (construction manager at risk)\n\nKnowledge of estimating, bid development, and preconstruction processes. \nStrong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence decisions and build trust. \nHighly organized, self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. \nWillingness to travel within the assigned region to meet with clients and internal teams. \n Preferred: \nExperience using Salesforce CRM and familiarity with Industrial Info Resources (IIR) preferred. \nBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience). \n Physical Demands and Work Environment \nThe physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
