Assists Project Manager in coordinating the activities of pipefitters, welders, and craft supervision engaged in the fabrication and field installation of process piping systems, utilizing in-depth knowledge of ASME code requirements, welding and NDE processes, piping equipment, techniques, procedures, and specifications. This position is responsible for assisting craft supervision in coordinating the activities of workers engaged in the process piping construction process, ensuring ASME code compliance, weld quality, and schedule adherence throughout fabrication and field installation.\n\nEssential Job Responsibilities\nReview project schedules with Superintendents/Foreman. Ensure that critical activities and decisions remain on schedule for the project management team.\nOversee field specific activities for process piping construction projects from setup to closeout, related to industries including power generation, industrial/process facilities, and semiconductor / mission critical, ensuring work is executed in accordance with applicable ASME piping codes.\nDocument project field issues that impact budget, quality, or schedule, and provide to the project management team.\nEnsure ASME B31.3 (Process Piping) code compliance, along with any applicable B31.1 or ASME Section VIII requirements, across all fabrication and field installation activities.\nCoordinate with QA/QC and third-party inspection on weld procedure qualification (WPS/PQR), welder certification, NDE (RT, UT, PT, MT), post-weld heat treatment (PWHT), hydrostatic testing, and Positive Material Identification (PMI) for pressure piping systems.\nReview and interpret P&IDs, piping isometrics, and piping material specifications to support constructability, fabrication planning, and field installation sequencing.\nRespond to subcontractor requests for field issues that impact budget, quality, or schedule.\nSupervises the daily work of employees.\nVerifies conformance of finished work product, including overseeing compliance with all contract requirements.\nEnsure all safety and environmental requirements are met.\nCoordination of all labor, equipment, and subcontractor resources with Project subordinates and other Loenbro companies to ensure timely, cost-effective completion of project.\n\nMinimum Qualifications\nRequired:\nMinimum of 10 years of experience in construction of large-scale commercial projects.\nMinimum of 7 years of experience in a leadership role overseeing pipefitting, welding, and mechanical craft trades.\nPrevious experience working on process piping projects within industrial, power generation, refining/chemical, or semiconductor / mission critical markets.\nExtensive experience managing fabrication and field installation of process piping systems, including hands-on knowledge of ASME B31.3 (Process Piping) code requirements.\nWorking knowledge of ASME Section IX (Welding and Brazing Qualifications) and applicable NDE codes/standards.\nExperience coordinating QA/QC and inspection activities for pressure piping, including WPS/PQR, welder qualification, NDE, and hydrostatic testing.\nAbility to read and interpret P&IDs, piping isometrics, and piping specifications.\nProficient with all Microsoft Office products.\nCompletion of OSHA 30 or equivalent safety training.\nAbility to travel at least 75% of the time.\nDriver’s license with a clean driving record.\nPreferred:\nExperience with HCSS Heavy Job or similar job costing program.\nExperience with P6 or similar scheduling software.\nExperience with Viewpoint or similar account software.\nExperience with Heavy Bid or similar estimating software.\nExperience coordinating pipe fabrication/spool shop activities in support of field installation.\nAWS CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) or similar welding inspection credential.\nEngineering or Construction Management Degree preferred.\n\nPhysical Demands and Work Environment\nThe physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
