Through their relationship with us and the One Loenbro model, our customers are able to simplify, control, and succeed in the everyday.\nJob Summary:\n The Project Scheduler is a key member of the Project Controls team responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules to support successful project delivery. This role will work under the direction of the Regional Director of Planning and Controls, with indirect reporting to the Regional Scheduling Manager, to ensure schedules are accurate, compliant with company standards, and effectively integrated into project forecasting and reporting.\nThe Scheduler partners closely with Project Management, field teams, Estimating, and Finance to maintain high-quality schedules that support on-time and on-budget execution.\nEssential Job Responsibilities\nDevelop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 across all phases (engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning).\nApply company scheduling Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and templates to ensure consistency and compliance.\nCreate baseline schedules, including logic-driven critical paths, resource loading, and cost-loading where required.\nPerform schedule updates, progress measurement, and variance analysis to identify risks and opportunities.\nSupport monthly project controls processes by providing schedule inputs for earned value analysis, forecasting, and reporting cycles.\nCollaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams to validate progress, durations, sequencing, and resource requirements.\nAssist in developing recovery schedules and mitigation plans for delayed or at-risk projects.\nIntegrate schedule data with cost systems and reporting tools to ensure alignment between schedule, budget, and progress.\nParticipate in schedule reviews, audits, and health checks; address findings with corrective actions.\nSupport estimating and preconstruction teams by developing preliminary schedules, timelines, and sequencing strategies.\nMaintain schedule documentation, including assumptions, constraints, and change logs.\nAssist in refining and improving scheduling processes, templates, and best practices.\nProvide mentorship and knowledge-sharing support to junior planners or new team members (for more experienced candidates).\n\nMinimum Qualifications\n3-12 years of experience in construction scheduling or project controls, preferably in industrial, energy, or heavy construction environments.\nProficiency in Primavera P6 (required); familiarity with Microsoft Project or similar tools is a plus.\nWorking knowledge of CPM scheduling principles, including critical path analysis, float management, and logic development.\nExperience updating schedules and performing progress tracking and delay analysis.\nUnderstanding of construction workflows, sequencing, and field operations.\nFamiliarity with cost integration, earned value management, and schedule-driven forecasting concepts.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.\nEffective communication and ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams and field personnel.\nAbility to travel to project sites as needed.\nValid driver’s license and ability to meet company background requirements.\nPreferred Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Controls, or a related field.\nExperience supporting industrial or electrical construction projects.\nFamiliarity with cost systems (e.g., HCSS, ERP systems) and their integration with scheduling tools.\nExposure to schedule risk analysis, resource forecasting, and recovery planning techniques.\nProfessional certification such as PMI-SP or AACE Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP) is a plus.\nPhysical Demands and Work Environment\nThe physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
