This role performs inspections, audits, testing, and documentation reviews to verify that work is completed safely, accurately, and in accordance with approved quality control procedures. The Industrial QA/QC Inspector works closely with project management, field personnel, subcontractors, and clients to maintain quality excellence throughout all phases of the project.\nEssential Responsibilities\nPerform quality assurance and quality control inspections on industrial construction and maintenance projects.\nVerify compliance with project specifications, drawings, codes, standards, and client requirements.\nConduct inspections of materials, equipment, fabrication, installation, and completed work.\nReview construction documents, inspection test plans (ITPs), quality procedures, and work packages.\nVerify proper implementation of approved procedures, work instructions, and quality programs.\nDocument inspection findings and prepare detailed quality reports.\nCoordinate and witness testing activities, including pressure testing, hydrostatic testing, and functional testing as required.\nInspect structural steel, piping systems, mechanical installations, coatings, and electrical installations based on project scope.\nIdentify non-conforming work and issue deficiency reports when required.\nTrack corrective actions and verify resolution of quality issues.\nCoordinate inspections with clients, third-party inspectors, and regulatory agencies.\nMaintain quality records, turnover packages, test reports, material certifications, and inspection documentation.\nSupport project audits and quality reviews.\nParticipate in project meetings and communicate quality concerns to project leadership.\nPromote continuous improvement initiatives related to quality and compliance.\nEnsure all activities are performed in accordance with company safety policies and procedures.\nRequired Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED required.\nAssociate degree or technical training in Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Welding Technology, or a related field preferred.\n2+ years of experience in quality control, quality assurance, inspection, construction, fabrication, or industrial maintenance.\nWorking knowledge of construction codes, standards, and inspection processes.\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, P&IDs, isometric drawings, and quality documents.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office and construction documentation systems.\nStrong organizational, communication, and report-writing skills.\nValid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.\nAbility to pass required pre-employment and client-specific screenings.\nPreferred Qualifications\nAWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification.\nNACE/AMPP Coating Inspector certification.\nAPI certifications applicable to project scope.\nASNT Level II certification in NDT methods.\nOSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.\nExperience in power generation, oil & gas, utility, manufacturing, mining, or industrial construction environments.\nExperience with mechanical, piping, structural, electrical, or coatings inspections.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nThorough understanding of QA/QC principles and industry best practices.\nAbility to interpret drawings, specifications, inspection procedures, and quality requirements.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to identify quality deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.\nEffective verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with project teams.\nStrong documentation and record management skills.\nCommitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to walk active construction and industrial job sites for extended periods.\nAbility to climb ladders, access elevated work areas, and navigate uneven terrain.\nAbility to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.\nAbility to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions.\nAbility to travel between project locations as required.\nWork Environment\nIndustrial facilities, manufacturing plants, power generation facilities, utility projects, fabrication shops, and construction sites.\nExposure to noise, dust, heavy equipment, welding operations, elevated work areas, and changing weather conditions.\nWork may require access to confined spaces, elevated structures, and active construction zones.\n\nBenefits \nLoenbro offers a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits package, and rewards to those who join our team: \nMedical, dental, and vision insurance \n 401(k) retirement plan with company match \n Paid time off (PTO)\nLife and disability insurance \nProfessional development and training opportunities \n Employee assistance program (EAP) \nBenefits eligibility may vary based on employment classification and hours worked. \n\nGuided by Core Values (LEAD), grounded in grit and a commitment to excellence, Loenbro betters our families, customers, and local communities.
