Join a team where your expertise is valued, your growth is supported, and your work helps maintain and enhance the critical infrastructure that powers communities across the nation.\nJob Summary\nLoenbro is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Survey Technician to support mission-critical construction projects, including hyperscale data centers, advanced manufacturing facilities, and other complex infrastructure developments. This role is responsible for performing field surveying, layout verification, quality control measurements, and construction staking activities utilizing Trimble survey equipment and software platforms. \nThe Survey Technician will work closely with project managers, superintendents, engineers, BIM/VDC teams, and craft professionals to ensure accurate project layout, alignment, and documentation throughout all phases of construction. \nEssential Job Responsibilities \nPerform construction staking and layout for foundations, structural steel, equipment pads, underground utilities, roadways, electrical infrastructure, and building components. \nOperate and maintain Trimble total stations, GNSS/GPS receivers, robotic instruments, and data collectors. \nUtilize Topcon survey equipment and software to process, manage, and maintain accurate field data.\nInterpret engineering drawings, BIM models, civil plans, utility plans, and specifications to establish project control points. \nVerify as-built conditions and perform quality assurance/quality control surveys throughout construction activities. \nEstablish and maintain horizontal and vertical control networks on active construction sites. \nCollaborate with project management and field operations teams to identify and resolve layout discrepancies. \nGenerate survey reports, field notes, stakeout documentation, and as-built deliverables. \nAssist with reality capture activities utilizing laser scanning, GPS technologies, and drone-based mapping programs when applicable. \nEnsure surveying activities align with project schedules while maintaining the highest levels of accuracy and safety. \nSupport construction teams in fast-paced mission-critical environments where schedule adherence and precision directly impact project success. \nMinimum Qualifications \nHigh school diploma or GED required. \nAssociate degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Geomatics, or related field preferred. \nMinimum 2 years of construction surveying experience required. \nExperience supporting large-scale commercial, industrial, mission-critical, semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, or data center construction projects preferred. \nWorking knowledge of survey principles, coordinate systems, control networks, and construction layout procedures. \nAbility to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and engineering documents. \nValid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as required. \nPreferred Qualifications \n3+ years of experience with Trimble surveying technologies. \nProficiency with: \nTrimble Business Center (TBC) \nTrimble Siteworks \nTrimble Access \nTrimble GNSS/GPS Systems \nRobotic Total Stations \nExperience integrating survey data with BIM/VDC workflows and Autodesk platforms. \nFamiliarity with data center construction, electrical infrastructure, and mission-critical facilities. \nOSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred. \nFAA Part 107 Drone License a plus. \nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities \nStrong understanding of construction surveying methods and best practices. \nHigh attention to detail with exceptional measurement accuracy. \nAbility to work in dynamic, active construction environments. \nStrong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. \nEffective communication and collaboration skills. \nAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet aggressive project schedules. \nDemonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. \nPhysical Requirements & Work Environment \nAbility to work outdoors in varied weather conditions. \nFrequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds. \nAbility to travel to construction sites nationwide as required. \nMust wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with all safety regulations. \nAbility to safely navigate active construction sites, including mission-critical and industrial environments. \nBenefits \nLoenbro offers a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits package, and rewards to those who join our team: \nMedical, dental, and vision insurance \n401(k) retirement plan with company match \nPaid time off (PTO)\nLife and disability insurance \nProfessional development and training opportunities \nEmployee assistance program (EAP) \nBenefits eligibility may vary based on employment classification and hours worked. \nOur Core Values \nLEAD with Values: \nLive with Integrity -
