In this role, you’ll own the full-cycle recruiting process-from sourcing to offer-for highly specialized hardware engineering positions critical to the design, development, integration, and operation of our satellite systems. You’ll partner closely with hiring managers to identify and attract top talent across mechanical engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, embedded systems, RF, systems engineering, and hardware test.\nMust Haves:\n3+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience, with a strong focus on hardware and engineering roles, ideally in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.\nDemonstrated strength in proactive sourcing, including LinkedIn Recruiter, advanced Boolean search techniques, and creative approaches to identifying and engaging passive candidates.\nExperience recruiting technical talent across hardware and product engineering disciplines, including mechanical engineering, electrical/electronics, embedded systems, firmware, RF/wireless, systems engineering, and hardware test.\nStrong understanding of hardware engineering concepts and technologies, including CAD, GD&T, PCB design, signal integrity, power electronics, and complex electromechanical systems.\nAbility to understand and translate highly technical requirements into effective sourcing strategies, including specialized areas such as embedded C/C++, RTOS, microcontrollers, FPGA, RF systems, antennas, and EMI/EMC.\nFamiliarity with engineering verification and validation processes, hardware test methodologies, and environmental testing.\nExperience recruiting within aerospace, space, satellite, defense, or adjacent complex hardware/deep-tech industries.\nProven ability to build and maintain strong talent pipelines for specialized hardware engineering positions in competitive markets.\nAbility to effectively pitch Loft’s mission, culture, and technical challenges to highly specialized, passive candidates.\nExperience conducting phone screens, assessing technical alignment, and managing candidate communication throughout the full interview lifecycle.\nProficiency with ATS tools (Lever preferred), including maintaining accurate and up-to-date pipelines.\nCollaborative mindset and ability to partner closely with hiring managers and the internal recruiting team, providing market insights and recommendations to improve hiring outcomes.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nNice to Haves:\nDirect experience recruiting for satellite systems, avionics, GNC, RF engineering, hardware test, or assembly, integration, and test (AI&T) positions.\nFamiliarity with spacecraft hardware development, electronics manufacturing, PCB design, and satellite production environments.\nExperience recruiting globally, with knowledge of both US and European aerospace and hardware engineering talent ecosystems.\nFamiliarity with ITAR, EAR, and compliance considerations relevant to US-based space and defense hiring.\nPrior work in or close partnership with startup or high-growth aerospace companies.\nBackground in agency recruiting or experience managing multiple specialized technical searches simultaneously.\nSkilled at using social platforms like LinkedIn to enhance employer brand and attract niche technical talent.\nComfort reporting on recruiting metrics, pipeline health, and sourcing performance.\nSome of Our Awesome Benefits:\n100% company-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance option for employees and dependents\nFlexible Spending (FSA) and Health Savings (HSA) Accounts offered with an employer contribution to the HSA\n100% employer paid Life, AD&D, Short-Term, and Long-Term Disability insurance\nFlexible Time Off policy for vacation and sick leave, and 12 paid holidays\n401(k) plan and equity options\nDaily catered lunches and snacks\nInternational exposure to our team in France\nFully paid parental leave;
