In this role, you’ll own the full-cycle recruiting process-from sourcing to offer-for highly specialized software positions supporting our satellite platforms, mission operations, ground systems, and product development. You’ll partner closely with hiring managers to identify, engage, and attract exceptional engineering talent in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.\nMust Haves:\n3+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience, with a strong focus on software and product engineering roles, ideally in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.\nDemonstrated strength in proactive sourcing, including LinkedIn Recruiter, advanced Boolean search techniques, and creative approaches to engaging passive candidates.\nExperience recruiting technical talent across software and product engineering disciplines, including frontend/web applications, backend services, cloud infrastructure, software integration, test infrastructure, and distributed systems.\nStrong understanding of software engineering concepts and technologies, including Python, APIs, Git, Docker, CI/CD, automated testing, Linux, and cloud-based systems.\nAbility to understand and translate complex technical requirements into effective sourcing strategies, including specialized areas such as mission-control and ground software, telemetry and command systems, mission planning and scheduling, payload tasking and monitoring, data routing, and automation.\nFamiliarity with recruiting for specialized software environments involving embedded C/C++, RTOS, secure web applications, satellite operations, flight dynamics, or AI/ML applications.\nProven ability to build and maintain strong talent pipelines for highly competitive, niche technical positions.\nAbility to effectively pitch Loft’s mission, culture, and technical challenges to highly specialized, passive candidates.\nExperience conducting phone screens, assessing technical alignment, and managing candidate communication throughout the full interview lifecycle.\nProficiency with ATS tools (Lever preferred), including maintaining accurate and up-to-date pipelines.\nCollaborative mindset and ability to partner closely with hiring managers and the internal recruiting team, providing market insights and recommendations to improve hiring outcomes.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nNice to Haves:\nExperience recruiting within the space, satellite, aerospace, robotics, autonomous systems, or adjacent deep-tech industries.\nDirect experience recruiting for mission-control software, satellite ground systems, flight software, embedded systems, or AI/ML engineering roles.\nExperience recruiting internationally, particularly across US and European technical talent markets.\nPrior work in or close partnership with startup or high-growth technology companies.\nBackground in agency recruiting or experience managing multiple specialized technical searches simultaneously.\nFamiliarity with ITAR, EAR, and compliance considerations relevant to US-based space and defense hiring.\nSkilled at using social platforms like LinkedIn to enhance employer brand and attract niche technical talent.\nComfort reporting on recruiting metrics, pipeline health, and sourcing performance.\nSome of Our Awesome Benefits:\n100% company-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance option for employees and dependents\nFlexible Spending (FSA) and Health Savings (HSA) Accounts offered with an employer contribution to the HSA\n100% employer paid Life, AD&D, Short-Term, and Long-Term Disability insurance\nFlexible Time Off policy for vacation and sick leave, and 12 paid holidays\n401(k) plan and equity options\nDaily catered lunches and snacks\nInternational exposure to our team in France\nFully paid parental leave;
