The role will serve as the Level 3 technical escalation point for complex network incidents and will work closely with L1/L2 engineers, infrastructure teams, cybersecurity teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to maintain a stable, secure, and highly available network environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nL3 Network Support & Troubleshooting\nProvide L3 technical support for complex network incidents escalated from L1/L2 teams.\nTroubleshoot complex issues across LAN, WAN, Internet, WLAN, VPN, routing, switching, and firewall environments.\nPerform detailed network analysis using logs, packet captures, routing tables and network monitoring tools.\nLead troubleshooting for major incidents and provide technical support during critical outages.\nPerform root cause analysis (RCA) and identify permanent corrective actions.\nProvide technical guidance and mentoring to L1/L2 network engineers.\nNetwork Infrastructure Management\nProvide hands-on support and administration across a multi-vendor network environment, including:\nCisco - Routers, switches, Catalyst, Nexus and related networking technologies.\nFortinet - FortiGate firewalls, VPN, security policies and FortiManager/FortiAnalyzer where applicable.\nPalo Alto - Next-generation firewalls, security policies, VPN and related security technologies.\nJuniper - Routers, switches and enterprise networking platforms.\nUniFi - Wireless and LAN infrastructure.\nCisco Meraki - Switches, wireless access points, security appliances and cloud-managed networking.\nRouting & Switching\nConfigure and troubleshoot BGP, OSPF, VLAN, STP, VRF, trunking, LACP/EtherChannel and inter-VLAN routing.\nTroubleshoot routing and connectivity issues across LAN, WAN and Internet environments.\nAnalyse routing paths and network traffic to identify performance and connectivity issues.\nSupport network redundancy, high availability and failover configurations.\nFirewall & Network Security\nConfigure, troubleshoot and maintain Fortinet and Palo Alto firewalls.\nSupport firewall policies, NAT, VPN, routing and security profiles.\nTroubleshoot application connectivity and firewall-related issues.\nWork closely with cybersecurity teams on network security requirements.\nReview and implement firewall changes in accordance with approved change-management processes.\nWireless & SD-WAN\nSupport enterprise wireless infrastructure across Cisco, Meraki, UniFi and other wireless platforms.\nTroubleshoot wireless connectivity, authentication, coverage and performance issues.\nSupport SD-WAN and Internet connectivity where applicable.\nMonitor network performance and proactively identify potential issues.\nNetwork Projects & Changes\nParticipate in network migration, upgrade, refresh and infrastructure improvement projects.\nPerform network device upgrades, configuration changes and technology migrations.\nPrepare implementation and rollback plans.\nConduct pre-change and post-change validation.\nCoordinate with internal teams, vendors and stakeholders during network implementations.\nEnsure all network changes are properly documented and communicated.\nIncident & Problem Management\nTake ownership of complex network incidents through to resolution.\nParticipate in Major Incident Management and provide technical updates.\nPerform detailed RCA for critical and recurring incidents.\nIdentify opportunities to improve network reliability and reduce recurring incidents.\nMaintain technical knowledge articles and troubleshooting procedures.\nRequired Technical Skills\nNetworking\nStrong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VLAN, STP, QoS, VPN and network security.\nStrong hands-on experience with routing and switching.\nGood knowledge of BGP and OSPF.\nStrong troubleshooting skills using packet captures and network diagnostic tools.\nExperience with network monitoring and management platforms.\nVendor Technologies\nCisco| Routing, switching, Catalyst/Nexus\nFortinet| FortiGate, Firewall, VPN, Security Policies\nPalo Alto| NGFW, Security Policies, VPN, NAT\nJuniper| Routing, Switching and Troubleshooting\nCisco Meraki| Switching, Wireless, Security Appliance\nUniFi| Switching, Wireless and Network Management\nExperience across multiple vendors is highly preferred.\nQualifications & Experience\nDiploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science, Networking or a related discipline.\n5-8+ years of network engineering experience, with strong L3 troubleshooting experience.\nHands-on experience supporting enterprise network environments.\nExperience working in a multi-vendor network environment.\nCCNP, JNCIP, Fortinet, Palo Alto or equivalent certifications are preferred.\nITIL experience and knowledge of Incident, Problem and Change Management processes.\nExperience supporting regional or global environments is an advantage.\nKey Competencies\n- Strong technical troubleshooting and analytical skills.\n- Strong ownership and accountability.\n- Able to independently troubleshoot complex network issues.\n- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.\n- Able to work effectively under pressure during major incidents.\n- Good documentation and reporting skills.\n- Proactive approach to network monitoring and problem prevention.\n- Ability to mentor and provide technical guidance to L1/L2 engineers.\nWorking Environment\nSupport enterprise and regional network infrastructure.\nParticipate in on-call and after-hours support\nSupport planned maintenance and network changes outside business hours.\nParticipate in Major Incident Management and technical bridge calls.\nWork with regional/global teams across different time zones.\nOccasional travel to offices or data centres may be required.\nInterested applicants are invited to apply via our careers portal.
