The Role

Logicalis Australia is seeking a driven and commercially astute Business Development Manager to join our high-performing Private Sector Sales team in either Brisbane or Sydney. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impac by driving new logo acquisition and expanding Logicalis Australia’s presense across targeted private sector markets.

Reporting to the Head of Private Sector Sales, you will be responsible for identifying, engaging and converting net-new customers, creating opportunities from scratch, opening new territories and building long-term executive relationships. You will position Logicalis as a trusted technology transformation partner across Cloud, Cyber Security, Modern Workplace, Data, AI, Connectivity and Managed Services and lead the complete sales cycle from initial prospecting through to contract execution.

This role offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to directly influence Logicalis Australia’s growth strategy through new customer acquisition and market expansion. Logicalis Australia has ambitious private sector growth objectives, including expanding our footprint into new markets and accelerating net-new customer acquisition. This role will aim to create new opportunities, win new customers and increase market share through proactive business development and strategic client engagement.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and execute territory acquisition strategies focused on net-new customer growth and market expansion.
  • Identify, qualify and convert new private sector customers through strategic prospecting and business development activities.
  • Generate new opportunities through networking, referrals, social selling, events, targeted campaigns and outbound engagement.
  • Build trusted relationships with C-suit executives, decision makers and strategic stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities while ensuring accurate forecasting and CRM management.
  • Manage the full sales lifecycle from lead generation and discovery, through to proposal development, negotiaton and closure.
  • Collaborate with PreSales, Delivery and vendor partners to develop compelling, outcome-focused customer solutions.
  • Present business cases, value propositions and technology transformation strategies to executive-level stakeholders.
  • Maintian awareness of market trends, competitive activity and emerging opportunities across Cloud, Cyber Security, AI, Data, Modern Workspace and Managed Services.
  • Leverage strategic partnerships, including Microsoft and Cisco ecosystems, to accelerate growth and customer engagement.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 10+ years' experience in technology sales, business development, strategic account acquisition or a related field.
  • Demonstrated history of exceeding new business and revenue growth targets.
  • Proven success generating opportunities through cold outreach, networking, relationship development and strategic prospecting.
  • Experience selling one or more of the following technology solutions:
    • Cloud
    • Cyber Security
    • Managed Services
    • Modern Workplace
    • Data & AI
    • Infrastructure & Connectivity
  • Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated negotiation, deal management and contract execution experience.
  • Ability to navigate complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and executive decision makers.
  • Strong communication, presentation and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Experience working within a systems integrator, managed service provider or technology services environment will be highly regarded.
  • Existing private sector customer relationships and experience with Microsoft, Cisco or related technology ecosystems will be advantageous.
