The technician will work very closely with the Facilities Manager to support environments where infrastructure includes, but is not limited to, HVAC(Cooling), power redundancy (UPS, Inverter, Generator), Environment monitoring, fire detection, access control and audio visual.\nCareer Type Description:\nThe role supports the customer though the resolution of data centre and VC incidents and outages, identification and actioning data centre risk, improvements to current data centre environments and, monitoring of data centre facilities.\nProfile Description:\nIdentify and action or escalate risks. \nMonitor and ensure the functioning of data centre and sever room facilities.\nEnsure the proper planning, installation, and commissioning of new data centre services as needed. \nLiaise with vendors for the management of current services, and the planning and installation of new services. \nDecommissioning and storage or disposal of facilities that is no longer required by the client. \nResponsibilities are in the data centre infrastructure, and facilities function as a generalist or in a combination of disciplines. \nExtensive local travel to the regional sites across Gauteng, Free State & Northwest. \nPlans, direct and controls data centre and server room facilities on behalf of client. \nExperience in Video conferring and audio-visual infrastructure.\nExperience in fast paced ICT delivery environments with competing and changing priorities.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to drive issues to resolution.\nExperience in HVAC (Cooling), power redundancy (UPS, inverter, generator), environmental monitoring, fire detection, access control.\nGood interpersonal skills and ability to build sound business relationships with stakeholders.\nGood written and spoken communications at all levels of business.\nAbility to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.\nOrganised approach to work, managing own and others workload.\nExperienced at setting up meetings and keeping minutes.\nExperience in use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)\nExperience in a mining or industrial
