The role involves collaborating with application developers and architects to build efficient, scalable, and reliable database solutions.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nDesign and develop PostgreSQL database schemas based on business and application requirements.\nPerform data modeling, database design, normalization, and database remodeling.\nDevelop and maintain tables, relationships, constraints, indexes, views, and stored procedures.\nWrite, analyze, and optimize complex SQL queries and PL/pgSQL functions.\nPerform database performance tuning, indexing, and query execution plan analysis.\nReview and improve existing database structures, queries, and data access patterns.\nImplement database schema changes and version control using Liquibase or Flyway.\nEnsure data integrity, consistency, and transactional reliability.\nSupport database migration, data transformation, and modernization initiatives.\nWork closely with Java application developers and architects to optimize database integration.\nTroubleshoot database-related issues and support production performance improvements.\nFollow database engineering standards, best practices, and documentation guidelines.\n\nRequired Skills & Experience:\nAround 6+ years of experience in database development or database engineering.\nStrong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL.\nGood knowledge of SQL, PL/pgSQL, joins, subqueries, CTEs, and window functions.\nExperience in database design, data modeling, normalization, and schema remodeling.\nGood understanding of indexes, partitioning, constraints, and database optimization.\nExperience with query tuning using EXPLAIN and EXPLAIN ANALYZE.\nUnderstanding of transactions, locking, concurrency, and isolation levels.\nExperience with database migration and schema management tools such as Liquibase or Flyway.\nGood understanding of relational database concepts and data integrity.\nFamiliarity with Linux and basic database administration.\n\nJob Location & Schedule:\n\nThis is an onsite position based at Logile's Bhubaneswar office.\n\nCandidates should be willing to work with a few hours of overlap with the US business
