Logistics Documentation & Preparation\nPrepare, organize, review, and follow up on logistics and customs clearance documents.\nAssist in preparing import and export documentation, customs declarations, transit documents, and supporting paperwork.\nCoordinate the collection and submission of required documents from clients, suppliers, shipping lines, and other stakeholders.\nMaintain proper documentation records and ensure files are complete and properly organized.\n2. Customs Office Coordination & Follow-upFollow up with customs branch offices and relevant customs officers regarding ongoing clearance processes.\nCoordinate with customs liaison officers and ensure timely progress of pending cases.\nVisit customs offices and other relevant government institutions when necessary.\nFollow up on customs queries, document approvals, inspections, assessments, and cargo release processes.\nProvide regular updates to the operations team and management\n3. Customs Assessment SupportAssist the Customs Assessment Officer in reviewing import documents and preparing assessment files.\nSupport HS code identification, customs valuation, and duty and tax calculation.\nOrganize supporting documents required for customs assessment and declaration processing.\nFollow up on assessment-related issues and coordinate with the relevant departments.\n4. Shipping Lines, Port & Logistics CoordinationCoordinate with shipping lines, shipping agents, freight forwarders, and other logistics service providers.\nFollow up on Delivery Orders (DO), shipping documents, container-related issues, and other operational requirements.\nAssist with cargo tracking, shipment status updates, and coordination of logistics activities.\nFollow up on pending matters with Djibouti agents and other relevant service providers when required.\n5. General Logistics Operations SupportProvide operational support to the customs clearance and freight forwarding teams.\nCoordinate with clients, branch offices, customs authorities, transporters, and other stakeholders.\nHandle assigned operational tasks independently and ensure timely completion.\nIdentify operational problems and proactively communicate possible solutions.\nPerform other logistics and administrative duties assigned by management.\nQualifications & Requirements\nDiploma or Bachelor's degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.\nMinimum 2 years of relevant work experience in logistics, customs clearance, freight forwarding, or import/export operations.\nBasic to good understanding of Ethiopian customs clearance procedures and import documentation.\nExperience coordinating with customs offices, shipping lines, freight forwarders, or government institutions is an advantage.\nGood computer skills, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and document management.\nGood written and spoken English and Amharic.\nStrong communication, coordination, and follow-up skills.\nPersonal Qualities – What
