At Röhlig, we’re committed to helping you build a long-term career while maintaining a healthy work-life balance - because we believe success is best achieved together.\nRohlig USA has 200 employees in 12 different offices.\nWe are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented professional to join our Air and Ocean Import team, playing a key role in managing international shipments and ensuring seamless end-to-end operations.\nWhat you will do:\nCoordinating Operations with Air & Sea freight Imports\nTimely processing of import air and sea documents including registration of shipments.\nCommunicates automation details to subcontractors for reporting to customs.\nMonitors clearance and delivery of cargo within free storage/holding times.\nChecks for special instructions on documents.\nInvoice and collection of correct charges.\nAuthorizing delivery of air and sea freight.\nMonitors availability, and in conjunction with subcontractors, ensures timely collection of cargo, check in to warehouse and reporting to customs.\nFollow up on delivery with truckers\nFinancial and Accounting Responsibilities\nApprove freight invoices, credit notes and monitor transport waiting time costs.\nPay carrier local charges, and any other related costs upon arrival, to ensure storage is avoided and no added costs are incurred.\nPrepare payment vouchers and write checks for authorization, and presentation.\nProcesses air and sea freight debtors & creditors in an expeditious manner by verification prior to handing over to accounts for payment.\nEnsures the department (cost center) achieves its financial and quality objectives.\nClient and Supplier Management\nKeeps record of discrepancies via the Innovations and Incidents Management (IIM) to ensure compliance.\nWhat you bring:\nHigh school graduate and qualification preferred\nHas knowledge of related computer applications\nFamiliarity with freight forwarding procedures\nGlobally aware of countries and where they are located\nUp to two years of previous related experience required\nExcellent customer services & communication skills\nAbove average administration skills\nAttention to detail\nExcellent time management\nAble to work under pressure and meet deadlines\nResilient\nCustomer focused\nShows initiative and drive\nWhat we off you:\nAt Röhlig, we believe in supporting our employees' well-being, growth, and work-life balance.
