The ideal candidate is highly organized, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a strong understanding of international freight forwarding and air import operations.\nWhat you will do:\nCoordinating Operations with Airfreight Imports\nTimely processing of import air documents including registration of shipments.\n\nCommunicates automation details to subcontractors for reporting to customs.\n\nMonitors clearance and delivery of cargo withinfreestorage/holding times.\n\nChecking for specialinstructionon documents.\n\nInvoicing and collection of correct charges.\n\nAuthorizingdeliveryof air freight.\n\nMonitors availability and in conjunction with subcontractors, ensuretimelycollection of cargo, check in to warehouse and reporting to customs.\n\nFollow up on delivery with truckers.\n\nFinancial and Accounting Responsibilities\nApproves freight invoices and credit notes, and monitors transport waiting time costs.\n\nPay airline terminal charges, and any other related costs upon arrival, to ensure storage isavoidedand no added costsoccurred.\n\nPrepare payment vouchers and write checks for authorization, and presentation.\n\nProcesses air freight debtors & creditors inan expeditiousmanner by verifying they are correct prior to passing them to accounts for payment and providing any supporting documentation for overdue payments, thus reducing impediments to prompt payment.\n\nEnsures the department (costcenter) achievesitsfinancial and qualityobjectives.\n\nClient and Supplier Management\nKeepsrecordof discrepancies via the Innovations and Incidents Management (IIM) to ensure compliance.\n\nWhat you bring:\nHigh school graduate or G.E.D.\n\nUp to two years of related experience\n\nExcellent customer services skills\n\nExcellent administration skills\n\nKnowledge of related computer applications\n\nFamiliarity with basic freight forwarding procedures\n\nAttention to detail\n\nWell organized, problem solver\n\nAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlines\n\nResilient\n\nExcellent Customer service skills\n\nExcellent communication skills\n\nShows initiative and drive\n\nTeam orientated\n\nWhat we offer you:\n…At Röhlig, we believe in supporting our employees' well-being, growth, and work-life balance.
