In this role you will:\nConduct validation testing on webcam and video products to ensure compliance with quality standards and functionality requirements\nLearn, implement, and document validation plans, ensuring thorough coverage of technical specifications\nOperate lab equipment and utilize test benches to assess and verify product performance\nIdentify, document, and track software and firmware bugs, actively collaborating with relevant teams for resolution\nCommunicate any events or issues impacting the project timeline or product quality to peers and stakeholders in a timely manner\nContribute to process improvement initiatives by identifying areas for enhancement and proposing actionable solutions\nPerform competitor product analysis to benchmark features, performance, and image quality, informing development and positioning strategies\nConduct both subjective and objective image quality testing, utilizing standardized methods and user feedback to evaluate overall visual performance\nKey Qualifications:\nFor consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and experiences to our team:\n6+ years of hands-on experience in test execution for webcams, video products, or similar consumer electronics\nFamiliarity with audio products (particularly microphones) is a plus\nTrack record of contributing to quality assurance within dedicated QA or quality departments\nProficient with Microsoft Windows, Apple MacOS, and iPadOS environments-critical for webcam interoperability and validation\nSolid grasp of electronics and embedded firmware/software used in video capture devices\nStrong knowledge of USB protocols, with direct relevance to webcam connectivity and performance\nFamiliarity with Python programming for automation and test scripting; considered a significant asset\nSolution-oriented, autonomous, and rigorous in approach to troubleshooting and defect analysis\nAbility to work effectively in multicultural, cross-functional teams\nFluent in English, with the communication skills needed for global collaboration\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPrior experience validating firmware and software for webcams, video capture devices, or imaging peripherals\nExperience conducting both subjective and objective image quality assessments using industry standards\nFamiliarity with video compression standards and streaming protocols (such as H.264, MJPEG, USB Video Class [UVC])\nProficiency in designing and running automated test scripts, ideally using Python or similar languages\nPractical knowledge of lab equipment commonly used in webcam testing (e.g., lightboxes, color charts, oscilloscopes)\nExperience benchmarking competitor products and analyzing market trends within the webcam or imaging space\nUnderstanding of camera sensor technologies, optics, or related hardware\nAbility to generate clear, detailed test reports and present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders\nEducation:\nB.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field\nISTQB certification would be a plus\n#LI-AL2/104\nAcross Logitech we empower collaboration and foster play.
