Logos is designed to extend cloud and data center network connectivity anywhere in the world to fixed, seaborne, and airborne terminals.\nLogos is led by a team of highly experienced engineers with proven track records in the networking and satellite industries.\nPosition Summary & Responsibilities\nLogos is building next-generation space-based network fabric, and the Network Software team is responsible for the software systems that control, operate, scale, and route traffic across that network.\nThe Cloud Platform Software Manager will spearhead the architecture, design and implementation of Cloud Platform software that supports Logos network. This role will own foundational platform services, infrastructure software, deployment systems, observability, automation, and operational frameworks that enable Ground Segment and Software Defined Networking (SDN) software stack to be deployed, and run reliably at scale.\nThis is an early, high-impact \"hands-on\" role in the Network Software team that combines cloud infrastructure depth, distributed systems experience, platform engineering, operational excellence, and strong technical leadership.\nResponsibilities:\nLead the architecture, design and development of cloud platform software for the Logos network.\n\nDesign and build foundational platform services for identity, observability, telemetry, logging, messaging, persistence, automation and operational workflows.\n\nBuild scalable runtime infrastructure as code to support Ground Segment and SDN software stack\n\nDesign for on-prem, cloud and hybrid deployments\n\nParticipate directly in implementation, code reviews, design reviews, debugging, test strategy and system integration\n\nWork closely with the control plane software teams to ensure platform capabilities meet network software needs.\n\nEnsure the quality, reliability, and scalability of the cloud platform software\n\nProvide technical leadership and guidance to the software engineers.\n\nTranslate system level reliability, scalability, and operational goals into executable architecture, milestones and engineering deliverables.\n\nWork with product management teams to prioritize features and requirements.\n\nWork with quality assurance teams to ensure software quality and reliability.\n\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.\n\n10+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on cloud platform software, infrastructure software, distributed systems, and backend services.\n\n5+ years of experience in a technical leadership role, leading cloud platform software development, with the scope and breadth of this role.\n\nStrong technical expertise in:\nCloud-native systems, observability, telemetry, automation and production operations.\n\nContainerized environments and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.\n\nBuilding scalable, reliable and highly available distributed systems.\n\nDesigning various platform services such as logging, messaging, database, telemetry.\n\nProgramming in one or more languages such as Go, Rust, or Python.\n\nDebugging and system thinking skills across software, infrastructure, cloud environments and distributed services.\n\nExcellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.\n\nStrong problem-solving and analytical skills.\n\nAbility to operate in ambiguity and make pragmatic architecture decisions.\n\nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience building carrier-grade cloud platforms for telecom, networking, satellite systems, wireless systems or large-scale distributed infrastructure.\n\nExperience building telemetry pipelines, logging pipelines, observability systems.\n\nExperience with Kubernetes, Docker, service mesh, Terraform, Helm, Prometheus, Grafana, Kafka, or similar cloud-native/platform technologies.\n\nExperience with multi-region, hybrid cloud, or geographically distributed deployments.\n\nKnowledge of security best practices for cloud environments.\n\nAbility and willingness to attain a Top Secret Clearance\n\nLogos Space Services is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering creativity, curiosity and diverse perspectives among employees.
