Logos is designed to extend cloud and data center network connectivity anywhere in the world to fixed, seaborne, and airborne terminals.\nLogos is led by a team of highly experienced engineers with proven track records in the networking and satellite industries.\nPosition Summary & Responsibilities\nLogos is building next-generation space-based network fabric, and the Network Software team is responsible for the software systems that control, operate, scale, and route traffic across that network.\nThe Senior Control Plane Software will be responsible for architecture, design and implementation of Control Plane software for Logos network. Control Plane software spans across the Software Defined Networking (SDN), Ground Segment, Satellites and Terminals providing functions such as network management, network operations (NetOps), satellite operations (SATOps), service orchestration, and service flows.\nThis is an early, high-impact role in the Network Software team that combines distributed systems depth, networking fundamentals, and strong technical acumen.\nResponsibilities:\nDesign and development of various services for SDN, Ground Segment, NetOps, and SATOps functionality.\n\nBuild services and scalable APIs for provisioning, configuration, automation, telemetry integration, and operational workflows.\n\nDesign for dynamic network conditions, including changing topology, link variability, congestion, degradation, and failures.\n\nEnsure seamless integration of control plane software with on-premises and cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS).\n\nParticipate directly in implementation, code reviews, design reviews, debugging, test strategy and system integration.\n\nWork closely with data plane, platform and embedded systems teams to integrate the control plane into the broader network architecture.\n\nEnsure the quality, reliability, and scalability of the control plane software.\n\nTranslate product level goals into executable architecture, milestones and engineering deliverables.\n\nWork with product management teams to prioritize features and requirements.\n\nWork with quality assurance teams to ensure software quality and reliability.\n\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.\n\n10+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on both cloud/on-premises solutions, embedded systems, and network stacks.\n\nStrong technical expertise in:\nControl Plane architectures, SDN, Network Orchestration, Enterprise grade network systems\n\nCloud-native software development using micro-services.\n\nCloud-native technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and services.\n\nCloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)\n\nDesigning APIs, service boundaries, data models, distributed workflows, and reliable operational systems.\n\nControl Plane software development for embedded systems with network switch chipsets.\n\nSwitching and Routing protocols.\n\nProgramming in one or more languages such as Go, Rust, C, C++ or Python.\n\nDebugging across software, network behavior, telemetry and infrastructure.\n\nStrong problem-solving and analytical skills.\n\nAbility to operate in ambiguity and make pragmatic architecture decisions.\n\nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with SDN Controllers, Intent-based networking or network automation platforms\n\nExperience with core network technology, such as MPLS.\n\nExperience with specific cloud services and technologies (e.g., serverless computing, databases, container and orchestration frameworks).\n\nExperience with satellite or wireless communications and architectures\n\nExperience working across control plane, data plane, platform and embedded boundaries\n\nKnowledge of security best practices for cloud/on-premises environments.\n\nAbility and willingness to attain a Top Secret Clearance\n\nLogos Space Services is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering creativity, curiosity and diverse perspectives among employees.
