About Lokal:

In 2018, we began with a WhatsApp group with a simple hypothesis: people in tier-2/3 towns weren’t

really using the internet meaningfully yet. We believed that if we started with local content in their own

language, they’d come back every day; once there was a habit and trust, that same space could naturally

grow into classifieds and, eventually, something they used for almost everything online.

This spark became Lokal. Our first instinct was to put everything in one place & one app - local updates,

classifieds, jobs, matrimony and more. It worked, till it stopped working. Users gave us the insight - when

quietly seeded a generation of focused companies & marketplaces, we began unbundling and

verticalising.

About the Role

We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Intern to support our hiring efforts across business and

technology functions. This role offers hands-on exposure to the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle,

including sourcing, candidate engagement, interview coordination, employer branding, and stakeholder

management. If you're passionate about people, recruitment, and building high-performing teams in a

Key Responsibilities

• Source and identify potential candidates through job portals, LinkedIn, social media, employee

referrals, and other sourcing channels.

• Screen resumes and conduct initial telephonic interviews to assess candidate fit based on role

requirements.

• Coordinate interview schedules between candidates and hiring managers while ensuring a

seamless candidate experience.

• Maintain and update candidate databases, hiring trackers, and recruitment reports with

accuracy.

• Assist in posting job openings across various recruitment platforms and monitor application

pipelines.

• Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring requirements.
• Support employer branding initiatives, campus hiring activities, and recruitment events.
• Communicate regularly with candidates regarding interview status, feedback, and onboarding

processes.

• Collaborate with hiring managers and cross-functional teams to understand hiring needs and

recruitment priorities.

• Assist with offer rollouts, documentation, and onboarding coordination for selected candidates.

Learning & Exposure

• Hands-on experience with the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle.
• Exposure to sourcing strategies using LinkedIn, Naukri, and other hiring platforms.
• Understanding of interview coordination, stakeholder management, and candidate experience.
• Practical knowledge of recruitment metrics, hiring analytics, and talent pipeline management.

• Exposure to employer branding, campus hiring, and recruitment process optimization.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business

Administration, Psychology, or a related field.

• Strong interest in Talent Acquisition and Recruitment.

Qualifications & Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with candidates and stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks

simultaneously.

• Proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets, and Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with LinkedIn, Naukri, or other recruitment platforms is a plus.
• Self-driven, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Willingness to take ownership and contribute proactively to hiring initiatives.
