CDSClear IT is the team behind the technology powering CDSClear - a critical clearing service within the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG). We are looking for a highly skilled Java Engineer to analyse requirements, design, develop and deliver high quality and well tested Java server side solutions. The role is part of the build out of a new team based in Bucharest. The new team will collaborate with colleagues in London and Paris to deliver innovative solutions.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing:\nTake ownership within the end-to-end software delivery lifecycle, using Agile or traditional methodologies as needed.\nEngineering of Java applications, their tests and supporting infrastructure within development environments.\nAnalysis of business and functional requirements to design solutions.\nCollaborate with global teams on design of application change or that of the supporting infrastructure.\nAutomation, from testing to deployment, to ensure speed and quality.\nWork within a regulated financial environment, with a strong focus on cybersecurity.\nOccasional out of hours support for releases or incidents.\nWhat You’ll Bring:\n5+ years of similar experience\nExperienced with the design and development of Java-based backend services (Spring Boot, microservices architecture) using build tools such as Maven or Gradle.\nExhibit the skills required to engineer services configured to meet corporate standards including those for resilience and information security.\nExperience using Ansible to configure and deploy applications.\nLinux skills suitable for managing software and debugging issues.\nExperience engineering pipelines in CI/CD tools to execute tests and/or deployments.\nIt would help us if you have:\nIntermediate level frontend (React and UI/UX) technology skills - e.g. React.js, Typescript, HTML5, CSS3 etc.\nPractical experience with Testing frameworks (e.g. Cypress) for automated testing of Web Applications.\nExperience of using AI tools to improve development productivity.\nAbility to design and develop Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform\nEngineered scalable and resilient Kubernetes clusters and supported the configuration of the hosted containerised applications\nFamiliarity with code and dependency scanning toolsets for SCM, container scanning and static analysis.\nUsed Artifactory as part of previous SDLC experience.\nExperience defining Infrastructure As Code for AWS services such as the following: EC2, RDS, EKS, Lambda, S3, EFS, Managed Kafka, ELB, Route 53 plus other networking services.\nExperience of using Terraform in a corporate environment executed via CI/CD pipelines.\nBenefits:\nWe are looking for intellectually curious people, passionate about the bigger picture of how technology industry is evolving, ready to ask difficult questions and deal with complicated scenarios!
