This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both technical depth and strategic influence across engineering, architecture, and business partners.\nWhat You’ll Do\nLead the design, build, and optimisation of AWS-based cloud platforms, including EKS, Kubernetes, networking, identity, and observability capabilities supporting enterprise-scale workloads\n\nDrive cloud migration programmes end-to-end, including application assessment, readiness analysis, refactoring strategies, and transition planning\n\nShape and deliver platform roadmaps, enabling scalable, resilient, and cost-efficient cloud operations\n\nChampion automation-first engineering, using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible) and GitLab-based CI/CD pipelines to improve consistency and speed\n\nEnsure platform reliability, security, and compliance, embedding engineering standards, architectural patterns, and governance controls across all workloads\n\nEnable hybrid-cloud integration, supporting selective adoption of Azure services where required\n\nCollaborate across architecture, security, and operations teams to enforce platform guardrails and guidelines\n\nLead and develop engineering teams, encouraging a culture of ownership, learning, and continuous improvement\n\nCoordinate sprint planning, prioritisation, and delivery execution across multiple engineering streams\n\nRepresent Cloud & Platform Engineering in governance, architecture, and programme forums\n\nAct as the focal point for complex cloud and Kubernetes challenges, making informed technical and operational decisions\n\nWhat You Bring\nDeep expertise in AWS services, including EKS, IAM, networking, compute, observability, and security\n\nStrong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container platforms, including cluster operations and workload optimisation\n\nProven experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tooling\n\nSolid understanding of hybrid cloud architectures, networking, identity, and security controls\n\nExperience applying SRE principles, observability frameworks, and managing distributed systems at scale\n\nDemonstrated success leading cloud transformation and migration programmes\n\nLeadership & Collaboration\nProven ability to lead and inspire engineering teams, delivering complex cloud initiatives\n\nStrong customer management skills, with the ability to influence technical direction across diverse teams\n\nAbility to translate complex technical concepts into clear insights for both technical and non-technical audiences\n\nComfortable operating in fast-paced, enterprise-scale environments with multiple priorities\n\nQualifications\nA Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience\n\nAWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer) preferred\n\nKubernetes certifications (CKA/CKAD) and DevOps/SRE certifications beneficial\n\nAzure certifications advantageous but not required\n\nInclusion & Benefits\nWe are committed to building an inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive.
