As Senior Software Developer, you will be a key member in helping shape and build the future of technology for Benchmarks & Index Management. Project work is critical to enhancing quality, growing coverage, improving service and operational resiliency, and increasing automation. Primary responsibilities of the team include centralizing automation, innovation, and research to design, develop, and implement process improvements and simplification. This role will help enable transformational change across the Benchmark & Index Management Operations global team.\nPython developer with react front-end and Python backend experience, you will be responsible for developing and helping maintain our AWS hosted web application. Collaborate with data modelers, analysts, and business users to ensure ongoing development with different product teams.\nResponsibilities:\nLead the demonstration of adherence to the LSEG Data standard policies and procedures.\nAdapt quickly to new technologies, tools, and frameworks as needed for projects.\nEngage in continuous learning to stay updated with industry trends and best practices.\nDevelop and maintain web applications using React and Python.\nWrite clean, maintainable, and efficient code.\nOptimize applications and code for speed and scalability.\nFix and debug applications to improve performance.\nParticipate in code reviews and contribute to teams’ best practices.\nDocument data ownership and establish integrations with enterprise data repositories.\nSkills & Experience:\nProven experience of a python developer with 7+ years in an enterprise environment.\nSolid understanding of OOP principles, experience using common libraries for data manipulation (pandas, NumPy, datetime, regex functions).\n5+ years of front-end development with experience in React, JS, HTLM, and CSS.\n5+ years of experience in SQL Server writing basic queries and executing SP’s.\nKnowledge of version control systems (e.g. Git we use Bitbucket, GitLab)\nExperience in creating comprehensive documentation using systems like Confluence and bug tracking software like Jira.\nProficient in using testing frameworks (unit test, pytest, Jest) to ensure code quality and maintainability.\nDesirable: Hands-on experience with AWS, AZURE, or other cloud providers.
