Join the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) as a Senior Java Engineer in Fort Mill. You will be responsible for the development of a new Index platform, collaborating with global teams, and ensuring high-quality products. You should have 10+ years of backend software engineering experience, expertise in core Java and Python, and a strong understanding of algorithms and data structures. Experience in financial services is a plus.
Missions
- Design, develop, and maintain complex Java and Python-based applications and services, ensuring high standards of quality and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, implement sophisticated algorithms, and deliver outstanding products.
- Lead individual project priorities, perform code reviews, mentor junior developers, and provide Level 3 production support.
Profil recherché
- Good command of coding standards and Strong understanding of both high level and low level software design- Prior exposure to Level 3 production support
- 10+ years of hands-on backend software engineering experience
- A proactive, creative engineering leader who enjoys solving complex problems, working hands-on with modern technologies, and driving AI enabled innovation. - Support the organisation’s AI adoption journey. Develop and enhance intelligent solutions using LLMs, LangChain/LangGraph, and agentic AI frameworks
- CI/CD tools (Jenkins/GitLab), DevOps automation
- Establish engineering best practices for safe, scalable, traceable and production ready AI deployments across internal platforms and external product suites
- Building highly distributed, data intensive systems
- Expertise in:
- Core Java, Python
- Docker, Kubernetes
- Strong algorithms, data structures, problem solving skills, and ability to translate business problems into scalable solutions
- RDBMS (Oracle/SQL Server/Postgres)
- JVM profiling & performance optimisation
- Microservices, REST APIs
- What We’re Looking For:
- Experience leading or mentoring a team of engineers
- Experience within financial services or with financial market data
- Familiarity with in-memory caching, Spring Boot, Redis, Kafka
- Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber, JBehave, or Karate
- Background as a Scrum Master or experience running Agile teams
