An Operations Manager is responsible for helping keep track of the big picture and working with leadership and partners to identify potential areas of improvement.\nResponsibilities\nLong-term planning to create initiatives that further the company’s overall goals.\nCoordinating different teams to foster exchange of ideas and provide cross-team learning opportunities.\nEffectively work with Cross Functions of the organization.\nAssessing and analyzing departmental budgets to find ways to minimize expenses and optimize profits.\nInspiring and motivating employees to perform at their best through positive encouragement and incentive initiatives.\nCommunicating with senior leadership to shift company priorities and projects.\nIdentifying potential points of friction or problems and working to suggest solutions in order to maximize efficiency and revenue.\nIdentifying opportunities to expand or shift course to take advantage of changes in the market.\nOther tasks as requested by the President\nRequirements\nCollege degree \n10+ years business experience\nElectrical Supply Distribution Industry experience\nKnowledge and experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management\nKnowledge of business and management principles and practices\nKnowledge of financial and accounting principles and practices\nKnowledge of project management principles and practices\nInformation technology skills\nPhysical Requirements:\nLifting up to 25 lbs. may be required infrequently. \nMust be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.\nConstantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.\nMay be asked to occasionally operate in areas with moving mechanical parts and in warehouse conditions that are not always climate controlled and may include, heat and humidity.
