LBT is a great place to work!\n RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:\nSafely operates all models of buses, including the latest electric vehicles.\n\nTransports our customers and assists them in making important travel decisions.\n\nMaintains a clean and professional demeanor and appearance.\n\nSupports customers with travel related questions and issues.\n\nFollows an assigned route, collect fares while stopping to allow customers to board and deboard.\n\nAssists customers using wheelchairs or other mobility devices.\n\nCommunicates with team members, completes written reports and forms.\n\nAdheres to all DOT regulations and guidelines.\n\nOther duties as assigned.\n\n EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:\n2 years of customer service experience\nValid CA Class C license required with excellent driving record\nMust be 21 years or older with a California Driver’s License (at least two years with CA driver’s license)\nHigh school diploma or GED required\nAbility to upgrade to Class B driver’s license with a passenger endorsement and air brakes certification, with no restrictions of the weight of the vehicle\nAvailability to work varying shifts, hours, days, and locations\nSKILL SET:\nMust be able to read, write and speak English well enough to sufficiently perform all essential functions and duties of the Bus Operator\nEmbraces inclusion and diversity\nStrong work ethic with ability to multi-task\nAbility to interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner at all times\nAbility to exercise good judgement in a variety of situations\nSelf-motivated, punctual, strong desire and passion to help people\nCommitment to continuous improvement\nConsider “Customer first” in Decision Making\nBe Open to New Ideas and Continuous Improvement\nOperate with Integrity\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS:\nSitting, walking, standing, bending neck (up and down), twisting neck (side to side), twisting, and bending waist (forward or sideways), squatting (similar to the bowling position), climbing, kneeling (to bend on one knee), simple grasping, controlled grasping, power grasping, fine manipulation, pushing/pulling, reaching above/below/at shoulder height and lifting/carrying 0 - 30 pounds.\nOTHER JOB BENEFITS INCLUDE:\nPaid training at $21.59 per hour.\nStarting rate after training $25.95/hr. with annual raises. \nFull-time positions.
