You will be an advocate for our people, providing daily human resources support to Canada and the US, while enabling our managers to focus on what they do best.\nA Day in the Life:\nProvide daily HR support to the Integrated Global Services (IGS) branch\nDeliver high-quality service and advice to the IGS branch leadership team on employee relations and performance management situations\nCollaborate with the larger Long View People Services (PS) team to implement programs which help improve the employee experience\nAdminister HR policies, procedures, programs and disability management\nManage compensation changes and promotions\nAssist PS leadership with HR trending and analysis\nManage HRIS & benefits administration\nReview quarterly vacation and sick time balances and handle escalated issues\nManage onboarding of new hires\nPartner with leaders to proactively address employee relations, coaching through complex people situations before they escalate, with a focus on achieving fair, win-win outcomes and supporting meaningful employee improvement and growth\nSupport with Long View’s culture by fostering belonging through IGS initiatives, community engagement, and coordination of IGS fun events, including branch social and community impact activities\nSupport the Health & Safety program for the branch\nAssist with international visas & various immigration matters\nSupport the Career Life Planning process, including attending these sessions for employees each quarter\nWhat You Bring:\n5+ years of progressive HR experience, including significant employee relations expertise\nStrong knowledge of Canadian employment legislation (AB, BC, ON) and working knowledge of U.S. employment legislation and HR practices\nStrong employee relations expertise with the ability to navigate sensitive and complex workplace situations while balancing business needs, risk, compliance, and employee experience\nUnderstanding of HR best practices and current regulations in Canada and the US\nHigh emotional intelligence, with a focus on taking care of people\nExcellent communication and organizational skills\nThe ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities\nSound judgment and problem-solving skills\nDemonstrated ability to forge and maintain effective and influential working relationships\nPassion for working with and helping others and creating a great employee experience\nExceptional attention to detail\nComfort working in a flexible and agile environment\nEducation in human resources or related discipline\nWhat Makes You Extra Awesome:\nWorking towards a CPHR / PHR or SHRM-CP certification\nWhy Work at Long View:\nGreat People and Culture\nCareer Growth -
