Do you have a passion for cybersecurity, threat detection, and operational excellence?\nWe are looking for a driven and self-motivated Security Operations Centre Analyst for our Calgary team to help ensure the security, availability, and operational uptime of the tools used to monitor, protect, and manage Long View’s clients’ environments! This is an onsite position based in Northeast Calgary and will require working in shifts and on weekends.\nA Day in the Life:\nMonitor, investigate, and respond to security incidents, suspicious activity, and operational alerts across client environments\n\nActively work in security monitoring, event, incident, and case management tools, including SIEM platforms (Sentinel, ArcSight, etc.), SolarWinds - Orion, and various other monitoring solutions, while managing the incident lifecycle through ServiceNow\n\nAct as the first line of defense within the ITOC, continuously monitoring network, infrastructure, and security alerts, performing initial analysis, and escalating incidents to appropriate technical teams for resolution\n\nRespond to tickets related to cyber security, infrastructure, network operations, access management, and application performance\n\nMonitor security events and alerts in SIEM platforms to identify potential threats, perform initial triage, and escalate incidents based on severity and impact\n\nConduct real-time threat analysis and support incident response activities, including log analysis, containment actions, and coordination with cross functional teams\n\nRespond to access requests and support privileged access management tools such as CyberArk\n\nComplete vulnerability scans, review findings, and remediate or escalate identified risks in accordance with established procedures\n\nComplete approved changes of IT infrastructure within change windows such as security patching and system maintenance as outlined by the change calendar\n\nManage server backups and maintenance plans across the client environment\n\nWhat You Bring:\n2+ years of experience working in a Security Operations Centre (SOC), Network Operations Centre (NOC), or similar IT operations environment supporting on-premise and cloud-connected technologies\n\nExperience working with SIEM, security monitoring, vulnerability management, and IT service management platforms\n\nExperience working with and managing incidents, problems, changes and service requests that follow ITIL framework standards\n\nStrong understanding of cybersecurity principles, threats, vulnerabilities, and incident response processes\n\nExperience provisioning new client services and working through customer onboarding tasks\n\nExperience with first-level server technologies (i.e. remoting into servers, implementing patches)\n\nProven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical and procedural issues across security, infrastructure, and network domains\n\nAbility to be on-site at a NE Calgary location\n\nAvailability to work varying schedules of 4 days on, 3 days off ( with every 4-weeks rotation), for 10-hour work shifts with rotation of days, evenings and overnights\n\nWhat Makes You Extra Awesome:\nSecurity+ and/or ISC2 certification\n\nCCNA or CCNP certifications\n\nITILv4\n\nPrevious experience in a 24x7 operations center\n\nWhy Work at Long View:\nGreat people and culture\n\nRecognition programs\n\nFun is one of our core values\n\nInteresting work -
