Technicians ensure equipment reliability and readiness to meet production schedules and quality expectations.\nSchedule:\nShift: 12 Hour Rotating Shift \n Pattern: 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off (repeating cycle)\nWeekend shifts include additional pay.\nWhat will you get:\nAn agile career and dynamic working culture\nAn inclusive and ethical workplace\nCompensation programs that recognize high performance\nMedical, dental and vision insurance, as well as PTO and more\nOur full list of global benefits can be found here: https://www.lonza.com/careers/benefits.\nWhat you’ll do:\nEquipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting\nAssist with preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing and packaging equipment.\nPerform basic mechanical tasks, including lubrication, cleaning, inspections, adjustments, and component replacements under supervision.\nLearn to identify and troubleshoot common mechanical and equipment-related issues.\nSupport equipment changeovers, repairs, and functional testing.\nDevelop familiarity with motors, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors, and other mechanical systems.\nSafety & Compliance\nFollow established safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), electrical safety, and required PPE protocols.\nComplete assigned GMP, safety, and technical training.\nIdentify and report equipment hazards, unsafe conditions, and maintenance concerns.\nPerform maintenance activities within established training and authorization requirements.\nDocumentation & Maintenance Systems\nLearn to use the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to document maintenance activities.\nMaintain accurate records in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).\nAssist with tracking equipment repairs, maintenance history, and follow-up activities.\nTraining & Development\nParticipate in hands-on technical training alongside experienced maintenance technicians.\nDevelop mechanical, electrical, and equipment troubleshooting knowledge.\nDemonstrate progress in technical skills, safe work practices, and assigned responsibilities.\nSupport maintenance projects and other departmental activities as assigned.\nFunctional Competencies\nBasic mechanical aptitude and interest in learning equipment maintenance.\nAbility to safely use basic hand tools and learn technical equipment functions.\nStrong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and procedures.\nBasic computer skills and willingness to learn maintenance software.\nGood communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.\nCommitment to safety, quality, and continuous learning.\nWhat we’re looking for:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent is required, Trade school, technical training, or related internship experience preferred\n0-2 Years of relevant experience\nBasic mechanical aptitude and safe work habits in a GMP manufacturing environment.\nAble to perform routine preventive maintenance (PMs) such as cleaning, lubrication, and inspection on production and packaging equipment.\nUnderstands basic mechanical components (e.g., belts, chains, rollers, gears) and can assist in disassembly/reassembly with guidance.\nFollows SOPs, batch records, and lockout/tagout procedures under supervision.\nDocuments work performed accurately in the CMMS with support.\nReads and understands basic mechanical drawings and work instructions.\nSupports changeover and cleaning tasks on automated equipment with minimal disruption to production.\nAbout Lonza:\nAt Lonza, our people are our greatest strength.
