The full list of our global benefits can be found here: https://www.lonza.com/careers/benefits\n\nWhat you will do:\nLead the application of AI/ML, advanced analytics, and data science solutions to address high-value scientific and operational challenges.\n\nPartner with R&D scientists and Advanced Synthesis stakeholders to translate complex business needs into scalable digital solutions.\n\nDesign and implement predictive models, optimization tools, and decision-support systems that improve scientific outcomes and operational efficiency.\n\nCollaborate with data engineering, digital, and technical teams to deliver robust end-to-end solutions from concept through deployment.\n\nDrive innovation by evaluating and introducing emerging AI/ML methodologies, technologies, and best practices.\n\nInfluence strategic priorities and establish scalable standards, frameworks, and ways of working across Data Science & Modelling initiatives.\n\nMentor colleagues and contribute to the growth of digital capabilities and future team development.\n\nWhat we are looking for:\nPhD in Data Science, Computer Science, AI/ML, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Bioconjugation, or a related scientific discipline, or equivalent experience.\n\nSolid industry experience in data science, AI/ML, computational sciences, cheminformatics, bioinformatics, or related fields within pharma, biotech, CDMO, or similar environments.\n\nAdvanced expertise in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data science with a track record of delivering business impact.\n\nStrong programming skills in Python and experience with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Scikit-learn.\n\nExperience developing end-to-end data science solutions from exploration and modelling through deployment and adoption.\n\nExcellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to influence senior leaders.\n\nExperience in bioconjugation, MLOps, digital transformation, or scientific workflow optimization is highly desirable.\n\nAbout Lonza\nAt Lonza, our people are our greatest strength.
