This is a hands-on leadership role where you will oversee documentation processes from MSAT through to GMP manufacturing, ensuring compliance, quality, and adherence to operational timelines. Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders and customers, you will drive process excellence through effective planning, performance tracking, problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives. In addition to managing day-to-day team activities, you will act as a coach, mentor, and subject matter expert, providing guidance, training, and support to develop team capability while fostering strong collaboration across the business.\nThis is a fully site-based role. Working together in person supports close, real-time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.\nWhat you will get:\nAn agile career and dynamic working culture\nAn inclusive and ethical workplace\nCompensation programs that recognize high performance\nA variety of benefits dependant on role and location\nThe full list of our global benefits can be also found on https://www.lonza.com/careers/benefits\nWhat you will do:\nLead and manage the Technical Administrative Team, providing direction, coaching, mentoring, and performance management to support individual and team development.\nEnsure the timely and right-first-time (RFT) delivery of GMP documentation, meeting manufacturing and business timelines while maintaining compliance and quality standards.\nMonitor and coordinate document creation activities, proactively engaging with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues, manage changes, and ensure customer requirements are met.\nProvide technical expertise and guidance on document content, style, formatting standards, document management systems (DMS), documentation procedures, and GMP best practices.\nDrive continuous improvement and strategic documentation initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance processes, efficiency, compliance, and overall documentation performance.\nTroubleshoot documentation and process-related issues, leading root cause investigations and collaborating across functions to develop and implement effective solutions.\nMaintain compliance and capability within the team, ensuring training requirements are met, documentation standards are upheld, and team members are equipped to support evolving business needs.\nWhat we are looking for:\nA BSc in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline, or equivalent experience, providing a strong foundation in biopharmaceutical development or manufacturing.\nDemonstrates strong people leadership skills, fostering a culture of care, coaching, and open communication while supporting team development, engagement, and performance.\nBuilds effective relationships across functions, leveraging excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders, influence decisions, and deliver business objectives.\nExercises sound judgement and initiative, proactively identifying risks, escalating issues appropriately, and ensuring timely resolution of challenges that could impact quality, compliance, or delivery.\nHas a proven track record of delivering high-quality results against demanding timelines, effectively managing priorities while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and customer focus.\nDevelops and grows high-performing teams, with experience assessing talent, providing constructive feedback, and creating development opportunities that strengthen both individual and team capability.\nAbout Lonza\nAt Lonza, our people are our greatest strength.
