Initial salary placement within this range will be determined based on role-related factors such as experience, qualifications, and expected contribution.\nWhat you will do:\nOwn the design and development of complex electronic systems, PCB assemblies, and embedded electronics for regulated products.\nCreate system-level architectures, translate requirements into hardware and firmware specifications, and make key technical design decisions.\nLead multidisciplinary development projects from concept through to product release, coordinating activities across engineering, quality, manufacturing, and regulatory teams.\nPlan and execute hardware verification activities, analyse test results, troubleshoot issues, and ensure products meet performance requirements.\nLead EMC and electrical safety activities, support certification testing, and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards and ISO 13485 requirements.\nProduce and manage design specifications, verification protocols, risk documentation, test reports, and traceability records throughout the development lifecycle.\nWork closely with cross-functional teams, support manufacturing and supplier activities, solve technical problems, and mentor junior engineers.\nWhat we are looking for:\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or equivalent discipline.\nNative-level German language proficiency is required, with a minimum of C1-level proficiency in English.\n\nSeveral years of experience in electronic hardware development.\n\nProven experience with Altium Designer desired.\nStrong knowledge of:Analog and digital circuit design\nPCB development\nEMC/EMI design principles\nEmbedded electronics\nEmbedded firmware\nSystem thinking\n\nAbout Lonza\nAt Lonza, our people are our greatest strength.
