And that’s the kind of work we want to be part of.\nWe are currently seeking an Expert Biotechnologist (permanent, full-time) who wishes to continue a technical career path within Manufacturing, whilst gaining exposure to career progression without direct line management responsibility.\nThis is a fully site-based role. Working together in person supports close, real-time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.\nWhat you will get:\nAn agile career and dynamic working culture\nAn inclusive and ethical workplace\nCompensation programs that recognize high performance\nA variety of benefits dependant on role and location\nThe full list of our global benefits can be also found on https://www.lonza.com/careers/benefits\nKey responsibilities:\nActed as the Manufacturing Representative for key manufacturing projects, providing operational support to ensure successful project implementation and delivery.\nServed as System Owner within Manufacturing, ensuring system compliance, reliability, and performance.\nLed troubleshooting activities, investigated deviations, and identified corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to drive continuous improvement and maintain GMP compliance.\nCollaborated closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across multiple departments and sites to resolve operational challenges and support project objectives.\nDelivered technical equipment and process training to manufacturing personnel, ensuring adherence to operational standards and best practices.\nSupported Plant Leads and MSAT teams with process mapping initiatives to improve process efficiency and standardization.\nManaged facility and fabrication works, coordinating activities to support manufacturing operations and infrastructure requirements.\nPrepared and delivered technical presentations, protocols, and reports for internal stakeholders and project teams.\nSupported customer meetings by providing technical expertise, operational updates, and project-related information.\nPerformed additional duties as required to support manufacturing, operational excellence, and business objectives.\nKey Requirements:\nDegree or Master's qualification in Life Sciences or a related scientific discipline.\nStrong manufacturing experience with leadership responsibility in GMP-regulated environments.\nKnowledge of fermentation, purification, and manufacturing operations.\nUnderstanding of quality, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.\nExcellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve process and equipment issues.\nStrong communication and coaching abilities, with experience supporting and developing operational teams.\nAbout Lonza\nAt Lonza, our people are our greatest strength.
