We are seeking a LIMS Configuration Specialist, a key role within our Laboratory Management IT team. This position supports the configuration, enhancement, and ongoing operation of the gLIMS Laboratory Information Management System (LabVantage) - a business-critical GxP system that enables digital laboratory workflows and operational efficiency across Lonza’s global quality control laboratories.\nJob Summary\nAs a LIMS Configuration Specialist, you will work closely with System Owners to perform configuration, reporting, instrument integration, and validation activities to ensure data integrity and efficiency in laboratory operations. You will maintain and update documentation to ensure compliance with GxP regulatory standards while supporting laboratory workflows through system enhancements and support activities.\nKey Responsibilities\nPerform configuration and interface development for LabVantage LIMS.\nSupport instrument integration and reporting activities (Jasper, Crystal Reports).\nGuide validation activities to ensure compliance with GxP, data integrity, and CSV requirements.\nMaintain and update technical documentation, SOPs, and training materials.\nProvide support for system enhancements, troubleshooting, and ongoing operations.\nCollaborate with System Owners, laboratory teams, and IT stakeholders to align system capabilities with business needs.\nApply ITIL processes to manage incidents, system availability, and service management.\nKey Requirements\nDomain Expertise\nBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.\nMinimum of 5 years of IT experience with pharma laboratory applications (LIMS, LES, ELN).\nHands-on experience with LabVantage LIMS configuration and interface development.\nSoftware development experience with Java and/or Groovy.\nExperience with reporting technologies such as Jasper or Crystal Reports.\nStrong database & SQL knowledge (MS SQL).\nUnderstanding of GxP, data integrity, and computer system validation requirements.\nExperience writing and updating technical documentation, SOPs, and training materials.\nKnowledge of ITIL processes.\nSkills & Attributes\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.\nEffective communication and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced, regulated environment.\nBusiness fluent in English.\nProactive mindset with the ability to anticipate and troubleshoot issues.\nAbout Lonza\nAt Lonza, our people are our greatest strength.
