Working alongside scientists and technical experts, you’ll gain hands-on experience with process equipment, batch execution and the technologies used to manufacture medicines to the highest quality standards.\nThis is a fully site-based role. Working together in person supports close, real-time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.\nWhat you will get:\nAn agile career and dynamic working culture.\nAn inclusive and ethical workplace.\nCompensation programs that recognize high performance.\nA variety of benefits dependent on role and location.\nThe full list of our global benefits can be found here: https://www.lonza.com/careers/benefits.\nWhat you will do:\nSupport the transfer of new and existing upstream or downstream processes from development into pilot-scale operations, helping ensure they are suitable for subsequent commercial manufacturing.\nPrepare and maintain process documentation, batch records and material requirements in collaboration with development scientists and technical transfer colleagues.\nWork as part of a dedicated pilot execution team to plan and carry out daily activities, operate process equipment and use relevant analytical technologies.\nCollaborate with Research and Development, Process Development and technical transfer teams to understand project requirements, communicate progress and resolve routine process issues.\nCollect, review and analyse batch data to identify trends and contribute to process summary reports for internal teams and customers.\nFollow established procedures and contribute to health, safety, environmental and quality requirements throughout pilot plant activities.\nIdentify opportunities for continuous improvement, helping to improve process efficiency, yield and productivity while developing your technical knowledge through hands-on experience and collaboration.\nWhat we are looking for:\nExperience or foundational knowledge of upstream or downstream processing operations, including relevant process equipment and analytical techniques.\nAn understanding of good manufacturing practice (GMP), technical documentation and the importance of following established procedures in a regulated environment.\nStrong attention to detail, with the ability to review numerical data, recognise trends and contribute to problem-solving activities.\nGood communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across scientific and technical teams.\nEffective organisation and task management skills, with a proactive approach to learning, adapting to change and meeting project deadlines.\nA commitment to health, safety, environmental and quality standards, taking responsibility for your own safety and that of others.\nA minimum of A-levels or equivalent.
