The Process Engineer supports site Operations, R&D and Quality in executing improvement plans utilizing Six Sigma, Lean and other methodologies to enhance overall business performance.\nFor this role, a Master’s degree in Engineering Sciences (Civil Engineer) is required, as the position involves complex technical problem-solving and advanced engineering responsibilities.\nWhat you will get:\nAn agile career and dynamic working culture\n\nAn inclusive and ethical workplace\n\nCompensation programs that recognize high performance\n\nA variety of benefits dependant on role and location\n\nThe full list of our global benefits can be also found on https://www.lonza.com/careers/benefits.\n\nWhat you will do:\nAdjust process parameters in consultation with production management (instructions, use of follow-up tools)\n\nPrioritize the activities for production machine changes and special productions (size/bar changes, supros, special lengths)\n\nDiscuss shift report of production shift supervisor and start actions where appropriate. Conduct shift meeting together with production departments and M&E departments\n\nDaily inspection and follow-up of the hard gelatin capsule machines for quality and quantity (scrap/losses). Accordingly, implement and delegate to day workers the actions to be taken (dimensional control, parameters humidity, weights, HCM set point changes, etc.)\n\nMaintain close contacts with production operators, mechanics and QA engineers, explain procedures and empower production personnel\n\nSupervise the cleanliness and hygiene status (GMP) of the production room and correct where vital\n\nGuard process capabilities and take appropriate actions where needed (standardization of process)\n\nTrain new operators and colleagues in capsule production and in procedures, as well as in capsule quantity importance\n\nPropose and implement process changes and programs also according quality plan, capital plan, Hfc program, HCM speed program and other programs\n\nWhat we are looking for:\nMaster’s degree in Engineering Sciences (Civil Engineer)\n\nProficient in both English and Dutch\n\nHighly organized and detail oriented\n\nNice to have:\nEngineering experience in a manufacturing/ production environment\n\nProject development and implementation experience\n\nKnowledge of continuous improvement.
