The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday during regular business hours.\nWhat you will get:\nBelow you will find a comprehensive summary of the benefits package we offer:\nPerformance-related bonus.\nMedical, dental and vision insurance.\n401(k) matching plan.\nLife insurance, as well as short-term and long-term disability insurance.\nEmployee assistance programs.\nPaid time off (PTO).\nCompensation for this role will be determined by the candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and relevant knowledge.\nWhat will you do:\nAs a Materials Planner, you will ensure the timely planning, procurement, and availability of materials required to support production schedules while maintaining optimal inventory levels and supplier performance.\nConvert planned orders into material plans and manage material requirements to support manufacturing schedules.\nPartner with Supply Planners and Schedulers to maintain accurate and responsive material plans.\nCreate and maintain material planning parameters within SAP and related planning systems.\nConvert purchase requisitions into purchase orders to support production requirements.\nCoordinate with internal stakeholders and vendors to expedite material availability and resolve supply issues.\nManage material-related KPIs and reporting to ensure supply chain performance and inventory visibility.\nSupport forecasting activities for non-BOM materials and consumable inventory requirements.\nCollaborate with planning and operations teams to establish inventory targets and safety stock levels.\nMonitor and facilitate on-time material availability, including support for testing and release timelines.\nMaintain accurate material, vendor, and purchasing data within SAP.\nManage supplier performance and resolve delivery, quality, pricing, and compliance issues.\nProcess vendor returns, replacements, and material discrepancy investigations as needed.\nParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency and material availability.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams and support additional departmental responsibilities as needed.\nWhat we are looking for:\nHigh school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field preferred.\nPrevious experience in materials planning, purchasing, procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, or inventory management preferred.\nWorking knowledge of SAP ERP systems and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes.\nStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, develop metrics, and identify root causes of supply chain issues.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.\nExperience utilizing business intelligence and reporting tools to support operational decision-making.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple functions.\nExperience managing supplier relationships and resolving material availability challenges.\nExcellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.\nUnderstanding of inventory management principles, purchasing processes, and supply planning concepts.\nKnowledge of GMP-regulated manufacturing environments preferred.\nStrong attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.\nAbout Lonza\nAt Lonza, our people are our greatest strength.
