This role is responsible for defining end-to-end architecture across production planning, manufacturing execution, inventory management, and shop-floor integration while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards and business objectives.\nAs a trusted advisor to business and technology leaders, you will drive the design of scalable, secure, and standardized solutions that enable manufacturing excellence across Lonza's global network.\nOwn the end-to-end solution architecture for Plan-to-Make processes across SAP S/4HANA and integrated manufacturing platforms.\nDesign and govern solutions supporting Production Planning (PP), Process Industries (PP-PI), Materials Management (MM), and related manufacturing processes.\nPartner with business stakeholders to translate manufacturing requirements into scalable, future-ready architecture solutions.\nLead architecture strategy and design for integrations between SAP, MES, LIMS, planning systems, warehouse applications, and shop-floor technologies.\nFacilitate architecture workshops and solution-design sessions with global business leaders, functional teams, technical teams, vendors, and implementation partners.\nEnsure solution designs align with enterprise architecture principles, security requirements, data standards, and global templates.\nDrive adoption of standard SAP capabilities while minimizing custom development and technical debt.\nEvaluate technology options and provide recommendations based on business value, scalability, maintainability, security, and total cost of ownership.\nSupport strategic initiatives including SAP transformations, manufacturing modernization programs, site deployments, acquisitions, divestitures, and system migrations.\nIdentify architectural risks, dependencies, and integration impacts early in the project lifecycle and develop mitigation strategies.\nProvide architecture leadership throughout design, build, testing, deployment, cutover, hypercare, and operational support phases.\nCollaborate closely with Enterprise Architecture and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration across Order-to-Cash, Source-to-Pay, Quality, Finance, Warehouse, and Master Data domains.\nDevelop and maintain architecture blueprints, solution documentation, technology roadmaps, and integration standards.\nProvide expert guidance in resolving complex production issues requiring deep understanding of end-to-end manufacturing processes and system interactions.\nStay current with emerging SAP and manufacturing technologies and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, simplify the application landscape, and accelerate digital transformation.\nTravel up to 25% to support manufacturing sites, business initiatives, and project activities.\nWhat we are looking for:\nBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.\n10+ years of experience delivering SAP manufacturing solutions within complex enterprise environments.\nDeep expertise in SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA, with strong knowledge of SAP PP, PP-PI, MM, and related manufacturing capabilities.\nStrong understanding of end-to-end Plan-to-Make processes, including production planning, manufacturing operations, inventory management, and material movements.\nExperience designing and implementing integrations between SAP and MES, LIMS, planning, warehouse, and other manufacturing applications.\nStrong knowledge of enterprise integration technologies including APIs, IDocs, middleware platforms, and event-driven architectures.\nProven ability to lead architecture and solution-design workshops with executive, business, and technical stakeholders.\nExperience translating complex business challenges into practical, scalable technology solutions.\nStrong understanding of application architecture, integration architecture, security, data management, and system dependencies.\nExperience working within large global organizations supporting multiple manufacturing sites and cross-functional teams.\nExcellent communication, stakeholder management, influencing, and decision-making skills.\nExperience with enterprise MES platforms such as Emerson Syncade, Rockwell PharmaSuite, or similar manufacturing systems.\nKnowledge of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP Fiori, and modern cloud integration frameworks.\nExperience supporting digital transformation, SAP migration, merger and acquisition, or divestiture initiatives.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience within regulated industries such as biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, or advanced manufacturing.\nUnderstanding of GxP, CSV, data integrity, validation, audit, and compliance requirements within regulated environments.\nExperience developing technology roadmaps, enterprise standards, and application simplification
