In this role, you will lead client-facing projects involving the design, execution, and optimisation of in vitro cell-based bioassays using human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) to assess the immune response to therapeutics\nWhat you will get\nWork in an engaging and collaborative laboratory environment.\nExpand your skills across human primary immune cell biology and bioassay platform development.\nGain practical experience with human primary immune cell isolation, cutting-edge cell-based assays, and advanced immunogenicity screening techniques.\nLead and contribute to real-world client projects, playing a direct role in evaluating and advancing therapeutic candidates.\nWhat you will do\nSupport and deliver in vitro cell-based bioassays to assess immune responses to therapeutic candidates across multiple client studies.\nPerform routine isolation, banking, and characterisation of human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) following standard operational procedures.\nMaintain reliable laboratory workflows, troubleshoot routine experimental procedures, and assist in optimising and expanding assay capabilities.\nKeep accurate laboratory records, compile findings into technical reports, and present results to project teams and clients.\nWhat we are looking for:\nDegree (BSc or MSc) in Biological Sciences, Immunology, or a related discipline.\nSolid understanding of immunology and bioassay principles.\nPractical laboratory experience with aseptic cell culture, immune cell isolation, or assessment of immune responses, gained through university research projects, placements, internships, or industry experience.\nStrong commitment to continuous learning and professional development\nClear communication, strong record-keeping abilities, and meticulous attention to detail.\nAbout Lonza\nAt Lonza, our people are our greatest strength.
