Venha fazer parte da nossa equipe e ajude-nos a construir um futuro ainda mais promissor no setor ferroviário!\n GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE:\nThe Engineer III, Software/Web development position is responsible for the design and development of innovative software and web solutions in a challenging hi tech engineering environment.\nESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:\nAnalysis\nAnalyzes software and data requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.\nConsults with engineers, data analysists and other IT specialists to determine system specifications to meet the functional and performance requirements.\nCommunicate concepts, recommendations, and solutions effectively with customers as well as management, verbally and in written format.\nDesign & Development\nArchitects, designs, develops software for desktop, web applications and cloud solutions to meet customer/product requirements.\nDevelops application services on AWS, integrating with cloud-native services (e.g., Lambda, S3, DynamoDB) to deliver scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions.\nDevelops and implements procedures and documentation for software system testing, validation, and training.\nMust have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nTesting, Installation, & Commissioning\nCoordinate testing, installation, and commissioning of software at customer sites.\nMaintenance & Support\nProvide support and maintenance for existing software and web applications/products.\nWork with stakeholders including the Operations, Engineering and Data teams to support specific software and data reporting/visualization needs.\nMust have excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers as well as management.\nTechnical Leadership\nAbility to lead projects and provide technical oversight to a team of developers.\nBEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES:\nAction Oriented\nAdaptability\nTechnical Learning\nValue Based\nAccountability\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nEducation: BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related Engineering discipline\nExperience/skills:8 + years of hands-on Software Design and Development, Object Oriented Analysis/Design & GUI development experience required.\n5+ years of full stack .NET Framework with C#, Web development (.NET core, ASP.net, web API).\n5+ years of building front-end React 18+ applications using TypeScript.\n3+ years of working with SQL and NoSQL databases \n3+ years [BG1] working with the following AWS services (EC2, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, CloudWatch)\n\n11+ years combination of education and experience in software engineering in leu of education\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nEducation: MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related Engineering discipline\nExperience/Skills:\nExperience using Claude Code CLI and managing an agentic environment (*.md, tooling, workflows).\nExperience with popular front-end tools: TanStack, TailwindCSS, Zod, and shadcn.\nFamiliar with Infrastructure-as-Code and Terraform.\nFamiliarity with event-driven architectures on AWS, pub/sub (SNS/SQS), message queues, and streaming data ingestion, and the tradeoffs between these patterns.\nWORKING CONDITIONS:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the role.
