Our preferred candidate would have luxury or independent hospitality experience.\nYou are someone that thrives in a non-stop environment, has an open mind, a great sense of humor, and loves finding solutions, working with a team and proactively creating positive outcomes.\nThe ability to be adaptable, calm under pressure, resourceful and efficient is in your DNA.\nCore Essential Functions\nWelcome guests in a warm, personable, sincere and friendly manner.\nRetrieve guest’s luggage and escort guests to their rooms and explaining the room facilities.\nTransporting departing guests’ luggage from the room to the lobby, ensuring that the guest has verified that all luggage has been accounted for.\nProvide guest with information they inquire about (i.e. hotel’s information, nearest spa, restaurants, metro, bars, etc.).\nAnticipate guest’s needs and create personal and memorable experiences and find solutions to challenges.\nComply with all company policies and procedures.\nPerform all other duties requested by Front Office Manager.\nThis position requires the following knowledge, skills and abilities:\nBe knowledgeable about Washington, D.C. and the building’s rich history\nHotel Experience is not required - Fun and welcoming personality is a MUST\nAbility to work in fast-paced environment\nWillingness to learn\nExcellent communication skills\nPossess poise, elegance and calm demeanor in all situation\nExceptional organizational skills\nFlexible schedule is required to meet the needs of the business\nYou must be available from 7AM-11PM and available weekends\nCompensation:\n$20.00 per hour (tipped position)\nBenefits\nAt Riggs Washington DC we are committed to giving our employees the skills and support required to deliver extraordinary experiences, and most importantly, to grow in their careers.
