LotusWorks is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace, integral to our people-first approach. \nLotusWorks is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to oversee commissioning activities on mission-critical and data center projects. This role is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of mechanical commissioning, ensuring all systems meet design intent, operational requirements, and client expectations.\nResponsibilities:\nExecute mechanical commissioning activities for data center and mission-critical projects.\nEnsure systems meet design intent, operational requirements, and client expectations.\nDevelop commissioning plans, procedures, pre-functional checklists (PFCs), and functional performance tests (FPTs).\nReview drawings, specifications, sequences of operation, identify design risks, and validate mechanical QA/QC documentation.\nPerform field inspections to verify installation compliance, identify deficiencies, and track corrective actions through completion.\nCommission mechanical systems including chillers, cooling towers, AHUs, CRAH/CRAC units, pumps, heat exchangers, expansion tanks, water treatment systems, HVAC controls, BAS integration, ventilation, pressurization, containment systems, and associated mechanical equipment.\nVerify equipment startup readiness, witness vendor startups, and validate system performance under normal, maintenance, and failure operating conditions.\nParticipate in integrated systems testing (IST), validate redundancy (N+1, 2N, 2N+1), verify sensor calibration and control sequences, and support BAS/BMS integration, alarms, safeties, interlocks, and system functionality.\nCoordinate commissioning activities with construction, QA/QC, TAB, controls, vendors, and client teams to support project milestones and system turnover.\nMaintain commissioning documentation including commissioning logs, deficiency reports, startup records, TAB reviews, progress reports, systems manuals, O&M documentation, and turnover packages.\nSupport client witness testing, operator training, project closeout, and successful system turnover.\nEnsure compliance with LOTO, safety procedures, job hazard analysis (JHA), pre-task planning (PTP), and commissioning best practices while promoting a safe work environment.\nSkills Required:\n2+ years of mechanical commissioning experience in data center or mission-critical environments.\nStrong knowledge of HVAC, chilled water, and critical cooling systems.\nExperience executing commissioning activities through all project phases.\nAbility to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.\nFamiliarity with BAS/BMS systems, TAB processes, and integrated systems testing.\nStrong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work collaboratively with cross-functional project teams.\nEducation / Licenses / Certifications:\nHigh school diploma or GED required.\nProof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicable.\nBenefits:\nMedical, Dental and Vision Insurance \nLife, Short-Term, Long-Term Disability Insurance \nTraining and Education Assistance \n401k Retirement Plan \nExtra Annual Leave with Years of Service \nMaternity/Paternity Leave \nRecognition Rewards\nLotusWorks is an equal opportunity employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
