LotusWorks is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace, integral to our people-first approach. \nAs a Technical Program Manager, you will work directly with the Semiconductor and Datacentre Operations Manager to develop and implement the strategic direction that supports growth within the Datacentre sector across the EMEA and AMERS regions.\nThe role is responsible for driving technical excellence, training development, commissioning support, and operational effectiveness across key client accounts. You will champion the development of comprehensive training programmes, Engineering Work Instructions (EWIs), and Best Known Methods (BKMs) to ensure personnel at all levels have access to high-quality technical guidance and operational procedures.\nYou will serve as the primary technical advisor to Project Managers, Leads, and Technicians, providing expertise across mechanical and electrical systems, infrastructure, and control systems. In addition, you will support field commissioning activities, technical audits, tendering processes, and the development of innovative solutions that enhance service delivery, safety, and operational performance.\nSafety is a core responsibility of this role, and all activities must be conducted in accordance with LotusWorks safety standards and client requirements.\nResponsibilities\nOperational & Technical Support\nProvide subject matter expertise across Datacentre operations, delivering technical consultation and mentorship to support operational excellence.\nEnsure technical solutions are aligned with contractual requirements and effectively communicated to all stakeholders.\nAct as the principal electrical technical liaison for clients within the Datacentre sector.\nSupport the development of monthly operational reports and participate in governance meetings as required.\nCollaborate with the Operations Manager to optimise site management and contract delivery across Datacentre and Semiconductor accounts.\nSupport supplier evaluation and selection activities where required.\nUnderstand business processes and the financial impact of technical decisions.\nDevelop performance dashboards that communicate KPIs relating to contract delivery, compliance, training, and technical documentation.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives that support sustainable and effective service delivery.\nDemonstrate strong decision-making capabilities and adaptability in achieving operational objectives.\nEnsure all safety and business-critical incidents are managed through the appropriate escalation procedures.\nPromote transparent communication between clients, LotusWorks, and key stakeholders.\nTraining Development & Delivery\nDevelop comprehensive training materials including Engineering Work Instructions (EWIs) and Best Known Methods (BKMs).\nCreate clear, accessible, and engaging learning content that supports consistent service delivery and business growth.\nProduce instructional videos, demonstrations, and multimedia resources to support knowledge transfer.\nDesign interactive e-learning modules incorporating assessments, simulations, and practical exercises.\nDeliver blended learning programmes combining online and face-to-face training.\nDevelop and maintain technician onboarding programmes incorporating theoretical and practical learning.\nWork closely with the Learning & Development team to implement competency and certification programmes.\nIdentify technical training requirements to support employee development and new talent onboarding.\nCommissioning Support (L0-L6)\nConduct 30%, 60%, 90%, and IFC electrical design reviews, documenting findings and producing reports for clients and design teams.\nSupport the safe execution of:\nL2 Installation Verification Checks (IVC)\nL3 Pre-Functional Checks (PFC)\nL4 Functional Performance Tests (FPT)\nL5 Integrated Systems Tests (IST)\nProvide technical support for troubleshooting and fault-finding activities.\nEnsure issues are documented and tracked through the Automated Commissioning Management System (ACMS) - Compass.\nReview project asset lists and develop Equipment Asset Test Skip Matrices to support commissioning test plans.\nDevelop equipment-specific method statements, Systems of Operation (SOO), and Descriptions of Operation (DOO).\nSupport the development and review of test scripts for electrical infrastructure and equipment.\nReview engineering documentation relating to equipment upgrades, modifications, and specification changes.\nManage technical amendments including discrimination studies, Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) plans, and commissioning documentation updates.\nSupport Electrical Leads in operating equipment through EPMS and CX Manager platforms.\nAct as the primary escalation point for technical issues arising during L0-L6 commissioning activities.\nAuditing & Compliance\nSchedule and manage periodic reviews of training documentation to ensure accuracy and relevance.\nEstablish feedback mechanisms allowing technicians to identify improvement opportunities within training programmes.\nCollaborate with Project Managers to develop auditing processes that verify contractual compliance for all L0-L6 commissioning activities.\nTendering & Business Development\nReview Request for Quotation (RFQ) packages including scopes of work, technical drawings, specifications, and procedures.\nDevelop technical proposals outlining methodologies and solutions tailored to client requirements.\nPrepare detailed pricing workbooks covering labour, materials, equipment, and project resources.\nConduct technical assessments to identify project risks, opportunities, and optimisation strategies.\nEnsure proposals comply with relevant standards, regulations, and client expectations.\nCollaborate with engineering, procurement, and finance teams during tender preparation.\nSupport client engagement activities by answering technical queries and providing proposal clarifications.\nDeliver technical presentations that communicate the value and strengths of proposed solutions.\nMaintain accurate tender documentation and records.\nParticipate in negotiations and post-submission client engagements as required.\nSafety Leadership\nSupport the development and review of Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS) for commissioning activities.\nReview Lock Out, Tag Out, Try Out (LOTOTO) plans for all testing phases and ensure compliance.\nReview switching plans prepared by Project Managers and Electrical Leads to ensure safe isolation procedures are followed.\nPromote and uphold LotusWorks' safety culture across all projects and activities.\nEnsure all work is performed in accordance with legislative, company, and client safety requirements.\nSkills Required\nStrong technical expertise in electrical systems, power distribution, control systems, and datacentre infrastructure.\nProven knowledge of commissioning processes from design review through integrated system testing.\nExperience developing technical training programmes and competency frameworks.\nStrong understanding of Engineering Work Instructions (EWIs) and Best Known Methods (BKMs).\nExperience reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.\nStrong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.\nExcellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.\nAbility to influence and mentor technical teams.\nExperience supporting tendering, proposal development, and pricing activities.\nStrong reporting, documentation, and presentation skills.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications and reporting/dashboard tools.\nUnderstanding of health, safety, and risk management principles.\nEducation / Licenses / Certifications\nEssential\nDegree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering,\nDemonstrated experience within Datacentre, Commissioning, Critical Infrastructure, or Semiconductor environments.\nStrong understanding of commissioning methodologies and electrical systems.\nDesirable\nProfessional Engineering accreditation or membership.\nHealth and Safety qualifications.\nCommissioning-related certifications.\nProject Management qualifications (PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent).\nLotusWorks is an equal opportunity employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
