Structured as a matrix organization of six geographical regions and ten platforms, Louis Dreyfus Company is active in over 100 countries and employs approximately 18,000 people globally.\n Reporting to the Chief Power Engineer, this position operates the steam boilers as well as the High-Pressure boiler for the deodorizer, the deodorizer vacuum system refrigeration equipment, as well as operations of the wastewater treatment plant and cooling towers.\nPrimary function is to ensure that these processes and boilers are operated and controlled in a safe and efficient manner in compliance with government regulations and Company standards.\nPrimary Responsibilities / Essential Functions:\nMonitor and operate plant boilers including all ancillary equipment in the facility, such as Water Treatment Systems, Air Compressors, Wastewater Treatment Systems, and Refrigeration Systems\nRespond to equipment issues or alarms; investigates and initiates resolution\nEnsures compliance with Company safety rules and wears proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) as required in fulfillment of assigned responsibilities \nAdditional responsibilities include monitoring and adjustment of the water treatment plant, and cooling tower water quality and the operation of the Deodourizer vacuum system refrigeration system.\nWork in an organized, safe, and clean manner, ensuring work area is kept clean and free from all safety hazards\n Must have completed Second Class Boiler / Power Engineer Ticket\nMust have a Grade 12 diploma or equivalent. \nMust have a strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures.\nAble to operate machinery and computer control systems along with regulatory food safety, safety and environment requirements.\nExcellent mechanical aptitude, effective oral and written communication skills, basic math and fundamental PC skills\nMust be well organized, self-motivated and action oriented and able to work effectively in a team environment.\nAble to follow written and verbal instructions. \nWell-organized, self-motivated and action oriented. \nCommitted to working safely, efficiently and effectively within a team environment. \nMust possess a passion for the agriculture industry, and ambitious to grow with a company. \nMust be able to participate in a shift rotation as part of continuous operations, which will require working weekends, evenings, holidays, etc. \nMust be comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces. \nMust be able to withstand extended periods of walking, standing, stair climbing and ladders, etc.\nMust be able to move, lift, push, pull and grasp manufacturing materials, products and equipment of 50 lbs or more, which may require regular bending and crouching. \nAble to thrive and work in diverse, challenging and changing environments, including hot/cold outdoors/indoors, varying degrees of dirt, dust, odor, sound, etc. \nMust participate in shiftwork rotations and overtime in a facility which has continuous operations, working 200 hours in a 5 week period, including day and night shifts, weekends, holidays, etc. \n What We Offer\nWe provide a dynamic and stimulating international environment, which will stretch and develop your abilities and channel your skills and expertise with outstanding career development opportunities in one of the largest and most solid private companies in the world.\n- Comprehensive benefits program including extended health care and dental coverage, employee and family assistance program, life insurance and disability coverage\n- Retirement Savings Plan with Employer contributions and matching\n- Paid vacation, paid sick time and paid statutory holidays\nDiversity & Inclusion\nLDC is driven by a set of shared values and high ethical standards, with diversity and inclusion being part of our DNA.
