The role will be responsible for creating engaging, locally relevant content that connects with Ethiopian consumers, builds brand awareness, increases engagement, and supports product campaigns and sales.\nThe ideal candidate should be comfortable in front of the camera and behind it, with a good understanding of Ethiopian social media trends, consumer behavior, and FMCG/food brands.\nKey Responsibilities\nCreate and present engaging short-form videos, Reels, TikToks, Stories, and social media posts.\n\nAct as the brand host/presenter for product demonstrations, recipes, interviews, campaigns, events, and promotional content.\n\nDevelop creative content ideas that are relevant to Ethiopian consumers, culture, lifestyle, and trends.\n\nPrepare and manage a monthly/weekly social media content calendar for TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram.\n\nShoot and edit quality mobile-first videos using tools such as CapCut, Canva, or similar platforms.\n\nCreate content around products, product benefits, recipes, usage occasions, promotions, new launches, and behind-the-scenes activities.\n\nMonitor social media trends, popular formats, sounds, hashtags, and relevant conversations and turn them into suitable brand content.\n\nEngage professionally with followers by responding to comments, questions, and messages.\n\nSupport influencer and content creator collaborations when required.\n\nWork closely with the Marketing and Commercial teams to ensure digital content supports brand and sales objectives.\n\nMonitor content performance and provide simple monthly insights on reach, views, engagement, follower growth, and best-performing content.\n\nContinuously test new ideas and improve content based on consumer response and performance.\nRequirements\nDiploma or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Media, Digital Marketing, or a related field.\n\n2+ years of relevant experience in social media, digital content creation, media, marketing, or a similar role.\n\nStrong experience with TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram, particularly short-form video content.\n\nConfident and natural on-camera presentation/hosting skills.\n\nStrong communication and storytelling skills.\n\nExcellent Amharic and good English communication skills.\n\nGood understanding of Ethiopian consumers, social trends, and digital culture.\n\nBasic skills in smartphone photography/videography and video editing.\n\nCreative, energetic, reliable, and able to work independently and meet deadlines.\n\nExperience in FMCG, food, retail, or consumer brands is an advantage.\n\nThe selected candidate must be available to work from the office up to four days per week.\n\nFemale candidate highly encouraged\n\nKey Performance Indicators\nPerformance will be evaluated based on:\nQuality and consistency of content production\n\nVideo views and reach\n\nEngagement and audience growth\n\nCreativity and relevance of content\n\nSupport for product launches and campaigns\n\nCommunity engagement and responsiveness\n\nAbility to identify and capitalize on relevant trends\n\nQuality of monthly performance reporting and insights\n\nIdeal Candidate\nThe ideal candidate is not simply someone who can post on social media. We are looking for someone who can become a recognizable and trusted face of the brand—someone who understands what Ethiopian consumers enjoy watching, can tell a product story naturally, and can turn everyday products and brand messages into simple, entertaining, and shareable content.\nCandidates should provide examples of previous TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, hosting, or video content.
