This role works with business stakeholders, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and senior developers to deliver reliable, scalable, and maintainable software solutions.\nThe Application Developer II applies established development practices, participates in technical design discussions, and contributes to application enhancements across web, mobile, API, and cloud-based platforms. The role uses approved AI-enabled development tools to improve productivity, accelerate development work, strengthen code quality, support testing and troubleshooting, and improve delivery efficiency while following company security, governance, and quality standards.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES\nDesign, develop, test, and support application enhancements using approved programming languages, frameworks, and development standards.\n\nCollaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and technical team members to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.\n\nDevelop and maintain integrations, APIs, and data exchanges that support enterprise applications and business processes.\n\nTroubleshoot and resolve application defects, performance issues, and production incidents, seeking guidance on more complex matters.\n\nParticipate in technical design discussions and recommend improvements to application performance, maintainability, and user experience.\n\nUse approved AI-assisted development tools for code generation, testing, documentation, debugging, refactoring, and other productivity improvements while following company security and data-handling requirements.\n\nIdentify opportunities to automate manual development, testing, and support activities through AI-enabled and other technology solutions.\n\nParticipate in code reviews and testing activities to promote quality, reliability, and adherence to development standards.\n\nSupport source control, CI/CD processes, and release activities to enable efficient and reliable software delivery.\n\nCreate and maintain technical documentation, support materials, and knowledge-sharing resources.\n\nMonitor application health, investigate system issues, and implement corrective actions to improve stability and performance.\n\nPartner with cross-functional teams to support projects, enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives.\n\nStay current on emerging technologies, software development practices, and AI capabilities that may improve development effectiveness and business outcomes.\n\nSupport broader team and enterprise goals by contributing to initiatives outside core responsibilities as needed.\n\nSKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS\nExperience\nTwo to five years of application development experience.\n\nExperience developing, maintaining, or supporting enterprise applications.\n\nExperience using AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, code quality, testing, documentation, or software delivery is preferred.\n\nHard Skills\nProficiency in one or more modern programming languages or frameworks, such as TypeScript/JavaScript, C#/.NET, Java, or comparable technologies.\n\nExperience developing or consuming RESTful APIs and application integrations.\n\nExperience with SQL and relational databases.\n\nFamiliarity with source control tools such as Git.\n\nUnderstanding of software development lifecycle methods, Agile practices, and testing principles.\n\nExposure to cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development frameworks is preferred.\n\nAbility to use approved AI tools responsibly to improve coding efficiency, documentation, testing, and troubleshooting.\n\nSoft Skills\nAnalytical thinking and problem-solving.\n\nClear verbal and written communication.\n\nCollaboration across technical and non-technical teams.\n\nOrganization, attention to detail, and follow-through.\n\nInitiative, adaptability, and a continuous learning mindset.\n\nEDUCATION\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT\nProlonged periods of sitting and computer use.\n\nFrequent use of computer monitors and standard office equipment.\n\nAbility to operate a computer, keyboard, and other standard office equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation.\n\nOccasional bending, stooping, and lifting up to 25 pounds.\n\nRequires a normal range of hearing and vision, with or without reasonable accommodation.\n\nMay require occasional after-hours work to support deployments, maintenance activities, or critical production incidents.\n\nOur Culture:\nFueling customers' journeys since 1964, innovation leads the way for this family-owned and operated business headquartered in Oklahoma City.
