As we grow, we’re strengthening our finance function and are looking for commercially minded Management Accountant to join our finance team and play a key role in driving our financial strategy forward\nRequirements\nThe Role\nManagement Accountant\nLocation: Birmingham City Centre - Full Time Office Based\nSalary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience\nAs Management Accountant, you’ll be responsible for preparing and presenting accurate financial reports to senior leadership, offering strategic insights that shape key business decisions. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring that financial processes are efficient, scalable, and aligned with our growth plans.\nKey Responsibilities\nPrepare monthly management accounts and financial reports, including budgets and forecasts \nPrepare monthly compliance certificates and other MI as needed for funding agreements \nFacilitation of daily cash sweeps between entities to ensure compliance with various funding agreements \nPresent financial performance insights to senior stakeholders to inform strategic decisions \nAnalyse costs and develop strategies to improve efficiency and reduce expenditure \nSupport business initiatives by sourcing finance for projects \nOffer financial advice on business plans, risks, and investments \nImprove and oversee financial systems, controls, and reporting procedures \nMonitor income and expenditure, ensuring budget adherence \nSupervise and support accounting technicians with day-to-day tasks \nTranslate complex financial data for non-finance colleagues across the business \nAssess and manage financial risks in line with regulatory and business standards \nAbout You\nWe’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented finance professional with a strong analytical mindset and a passion for continuous improvement. You should be confident working in a fast-paced environment and able to communicate financial insights clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.\n Qualifications & Experience\nACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified \nProven experience in management accounting and financial reporting \nStrong knowledge of accounting standards and financial best practices \nExperience working in financial services or an FCA-regulated environment (preferred) \nConfidence in reading legal contracts and understanding of compliance mechanism \nAdvanced Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs, Macros) \nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills \nHigh attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines \nIf you're a passionate Management Accountant looking to take the next step in your career, we'd love to hear from you.
