This includes assisting (and occasionally delivering more independently at smaller project component scale) more senior level engineers with infrastructure planning, engineering, and architecture for assigned systems. This role will support one or two platforms within a single infrastructure engineering domain.\nWhat You Will Do\nImplement solutions requirements and functional specifications that support integrated and sustainable designs for designated infrastructure systems with guidance, as needed.\nCollaborate with other engineers to ensure flexible, scalable, and maintainable infrastructure systems are delivered.\nWork with more senior level engineers to provide recommendations and input on options, risks, and benefits for infrastructure systems designs.\nWrite and review clear technical specifications and documentation.\nDevelop or modify infrastructure solutions within designated computing environments.\nDevelop and validate basic system design prototypes, ensuring system designs adhere to company architecture standards.\nBuild basic hardware and/or software configurations and prepare system components for installation to the infrastructure.\nDevelop, validate, and execute basic infrastructure tests to identify system errors and ensure solutions meet functional specifications. Validate and test smaller, more basic components of larger infrastructure systems and revise key system components based on test results as appropriate.\nSupport the implementation and maintenance of assigned enterprise infrastructure systems to ensure successful deployment and operation by developing and documenting detailed standards for the introduction and maintenance of services.\nCollaborate with technology partners to help define and understand target strategies.\nEvaluate new service options and identify issues and impacts.\nProvide post-implementation support and make system enhancements as needed.\n Minimum Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems (CIS), or related field or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable\n2 years of experience in an IT support environment with technical experience in distributed technologies and systems development\nPreferred Skills/Education\nMaster’s degree in computer science, CIS, or related field \n2 years of experience leading projects with or without direct reports\nExperience working in a large matrixed organization\nExperience working with third-party IT vendors and/or systems solution providers\nExperience writing technical documentation in an infrastructure development environment\nIT experience in the retail industry\nAbout Lowe’s\nLowe’s Companies, Inc.
