You'll independently own work within your area while partnering with senior engineers and specialists on broader platform architecture and complex infrastructure challenges.\nThis is an opportunity to deepen your cloud-native and platform engineering expertise while working with technologies such as Kubernetes, KubeVirt, Go, Python, Terraform, GitOps, and public cloud.\nYour Impact\nYou'll help make enterprise infrastructure more automated, reliable, and easier for engineering teams to use. You'll have room to own meaningful platform work today while continuing to grow your expertise across Kubernetes, cloud-native engineering, virtualization, and large-scale infrastructure. \nWhat You Will Do\nBuild, automate, and support Kubernetes platform capabilities across on-premises, edge, and cloud environments. \nDevelop automation and platform services using Go, Python, Shell, APIs, and Infrastructure-as-Code. \nSupport Kubernetes provisioning, configuration, upgrades, scaling, and lifecycle management. \nTroubleshoot production issues across Kubernetes, Linux, containers, and related infrastructure, partnering with specialists when issues span multiple domains. \nContribute to platform capabilities across virtualization, networking, storage, observability, security, and GitOps. \nParticipate in technical design discussions and help improve platform reliability, scalability, performance, and maintainability. \nIdentify opportunities to reduce operational toil, increase automation, and make the platform easier for application teams to use. \nContribute to production readiness, incident response, root-cause analysis, documentation, and engineering best practices. \nExperience in software engineering, platform engineering, SRE, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or a related engineering discipline. \nHands-on experience working with Kubernetes in production environments. \nStrong Linux, container, and Kubernetes fundamentals. \nExperience building automation with Go, Python, and/or Shell. \nExperience with Infrastructure-as-Code or configuration automation tools such as Terraform or Ansible. \nExperience with Git-based development and CI/CD or GitOps practices. \nWorking knowledge of Kubernetes networking, storage, and production troubleshooting. \nA software engineering mindset with an interest in automation, reliability, and solving infrastructure problems. \n Minimum Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems, or related field or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable\n2 years of experience in software development or a related field\n2 years of experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of solutions applying development life cycles (SDLC) through iterative agile development\n2 years experience working with any of the following: frontend technologies (user interface/user experience), middleware (microservices and application programming interfaces), database technologies, or DevOps\nPreferred Skills/Education\nExperience writing technical documentation in a software environment and developing and implementing business systems within an organization\nKubeVirt, VMware, or Kubernetes-based virtualization. \nKubernetes platforms such as RKE2/Rancher, GKE, EKS, or AKS. \nCloud-native technologies such as Argo CD, Helm, Istio, Vault, or Kubernetes Operators. \nObservability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry. \nPublic cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure. \nEnterprise networking, storage, security, or developer platform capabilities. \nTechnology You May Work With\nKubernetes & Cloud Native: Kubernetes, KubeVirt, Helm, Argo CD, Istio, Rancher/RKE2 \nEngineering & Automation: Go, Python, Shell, APIs, Terraform, Ansible \nPlatform: Linux, containers, networking, storage, virtualization, GitOps \nCloud & Observability: Google Cloud, AWS, Azure, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry\nAbout Lowe’s\nLowe’s Companies, Inc.
