This includes performing tracking and documentation by entering details of problems, status of service requests, and resolutions into the company incident management system. This role may also directly or indirectly support corporate initiatives or deployment projects.\nThis role works the hours and schedule required to support the enterprise and may be on call and/or work alternate schedules to meet department needs.\nWhat You Will Do\nProvides remote or in-person technical support for technology products and applications, including computer hardware and software, telecommunications equipment, and networks.\n\nAttempts to resolve problems, then escalates problems as necessary to appropriate resources.\n\nAnalyzes and prioritizes incoming requests and alerts.\n\nTracks and documents problem details, service request status, and resolutions into the company incident management system. Monitors problem resolutions to achieve closure.\n\nInteracts with third-party hardware and/or software vendors by initiating and supporting vendor services as necessary.\n\nIdentifies recurring problems and escalates to senior staff for prioritization and investigation.\n\nInstalls and/or upgrades hardware and software to set up and maintain computer systems.\n\nPerforms basic preventative maintenance and break/fix repairs on technology, including more complex devices.\n\nContributes to the knowledge repository for technical support; documents workarounds for problem records; compiles information related to new technology.\n\nPerforms system backups and ensures integrity of backup media and peripherals.\n\nParticipates in meetings with vendors to resolve service failures or issues\n\nIdentifies and suggests possible improvements on procedures.\n\nMinimum Qualifications\nAssociate degree in computer science, computer information systems, or related field or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable\n\n2 years of IT experience in a support or operations environment working with personal computers or client/server platforms and/or hardware\n\nPreferred Skills/Education\nExperience working with third-party IT vendors and/or software/hardware suppliers\n\nIT experience in the retail industry\n\nExperience writing technical documentation or standard operating procedures related to IT technical support or deployment\n\nAbout Lowe’s\nLowe's Companies, Inc.
