Drivers will cross train receiving, putting away, picking and shipping product within a distribution center and support the visitor center personnel. This role is responsible for maintaining quality by properly and safely handling the product, using customer focused distribution. The activities performed by this role are instrumental in a facility achieving or exceeding key performance indicator metrics.\nWhat We're Looking Fo r\nRequired to work a set schedule that may be changed/modified by management based on\nthe needs of the facility.\nRequires availability to work morning, afternoon, nights, or weekends depending upon\nassigned shift and overtime based on the needs of the facility.\nMust work in a distribution/warehouse environment with the physical and environmental\naspects typically associated with such environment.\nAbility, with training, to safely operate yard tractor and maneuvering trailers ranging in size\nfrom 28’ to 53’\nMinimally must be able to lift 40 pounds; ability to lift up to 70 pounds.\nWhat You Need to Succeed\nMinimum Qualifications\nStrong safety orientation and proven record of complying with safety requirements\nDemonstrated track record of consistent and reliable on-the-job contribution\nAbility to work independently with limited supervision or with a team\nPreferred Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED equivalent\nExperience in distribution center operations or previous warehouse experience\nExperience operating power equipment (e.g., forklift, reach truck, yard truck , scrubbing sweeper)\nExperience performing detail-oriented tasks in a fast-paced working environment\nExperience using spatial reasoning to position product effectively\nBasic math and reading comprehension skills\nBasic computer skills\nBilingual, Military, and Veteran applicants are encouraged to apply.\nWorking Conditions\nEnvironmental factors vary by location. You may be working in both inside and outside weather conditions. Exposure to varying climates, including extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions, is possible. You may be exposed to constant or intermittent noises in addition to moving or shaking objects and equipment.\nLifting methods vary based on role, weight, and volume. Associates must follow guidelines, limiting single lifts to 70 pounds. Team lifts are used minimally starting at 70 pounds or when needed.
