Responsible for performing these functions on issues as they are assigned (or arise) in the designated area.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS\nChampion Lozier’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values by demonstrating the behaviors that contribute to Lozier’s success.\nResponsible for the successful completion projects which are broad in nature. The engineer will typically define the project, set the goals, and communicate the project to all affected parties clearly and concisely.\nEvaluates need, analyzes options, develops plan, develops Appropriation Request (AR) and manages implementation of project until completed within the allotted time frame.\nAssists, guides, and mentors other engineers and support personnel (Technicians, Maintenance, Tool and Die, etc.) in complex technical matters as needed.\nDevelops, installs and maintains optimum processes for the safe manufacture of quality product in a productive manner.\nDevelops procedures and provides training on new processes, tools and equipment, including but not limited to defining Preventative and Predictive Maintenance requirements and mechanical evaluation of processes and equipment, as needed.\nCoordinates successful corrections to production problems using sound manufacturing engineering problem-solving techniques and practices. When needed, develops alternate methods or processes to allow emergency continued production.\nAlternate solutions are evaluated using sound engineering economy techniques.\nDemonstrate regular attendance and timeliness in reporting to work, meetings, and completing assignments.\nAbility to work and interact well with others.\nOTHER JOB FUNCTIONS\nGeneral industrial engineering functions as necessary.\nJOB QUALIFICATIONS\nEducation: Bachelor degree in engineering or another related field. Mechanical engineering preferred.\nExperience: Minimum of 4 years of applicable engineering experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.\nRequired Skills:\nIntermediate Microsoft Office skills.\nGood written and oral communications.\nExcellent organizational skills.\nAbility to develop plans for accomplishing assigned work and set priorities with a proper sense of urgency.\nAbility to make timely decisions.\nAverage to above average PC Skills.\nPreferred Skills:\nKnowledge of machine programming systems.\nKnowledge of the data systems.\nSPECIAL DEMANDS\n Some travel required.\nThe above job description is meant to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
